I initially chose Solar Optimum based on their competitive pricing. The process seemed relatively normal from signing the contract to scheduling the site survey. After 2 site surveys, the installer declined the contract due to the height of my 3 floor Townhouse. Solar Optimum has reached out to provide a full refund of my deposit.
From the first quote, throughout the entire and completed installation, the collective team at Solar Optimum could not have been better! They were friendly, timely and always communicated with full transparency and never missed a milestone or appointment. The install team were absolute rock stars and completed a 22 panel system on a very tricky roof in less than 2 days (start to finish)!! Would happily recommend Solar Optimum to anyone considering a Solar project. We definitely made the right call with the S.O. Team!!
Solar Optimum contacted me and they were able to resolve the issue, so I'm updating this review. They reinstalled our electric panel with metal pipes, and did a very professional job. I'm satisfied with their quick response to remedy the problem.
Solar Optimum offered very competitive pricing compared to other installers that quoted. They specialize in the Panasonic panels I wanted and also upgraded to the new Enphase IQ8 microinverters which some installers were not offering. My experience with Cory McKenna my sales consultant was very positive. He provided a detailed quote within a couple hours and answered all my questions promptly. From start to finish Solar Optimum was on-time, pleasant, and professional. The day they were to put the panels on our 2-story roof there was a wind warning. Needless to say, WE didn't want them to play paragliders with the panels (and neither did their boss). A few days later, they returned and finished the install.
I had a great experience with solar optimum. We did have a couple delays with the project but they were very transparent with what was causing the issues. I was also compensated because of the slight delay. I would highly recommend solar optimum. Cory McKenna was the reason I chose this contractor due to his knowledge and transparency, never felt like I was being misled.
Solar Optimum did an excellent job in the design and installation of our solar and battery backup system, but the communication coming from their corporate office is a little on the weak side. This project ran from August 2021, to March 2022. At the time of this writing we are waiting for the final inspection, and PTO from the utility company. Here are the pluses and minuses. UPDATE: I added a star back as both sales rep and VP reached out to make amends after this review. I appreciate the follow up and attempt to make it right, though still ultimately went in another direction. I was very excited over solar optimum. The reviews, the bid, the parts and warranties all sounded perfect and was my leading choice. I even spoke to a sales rep outside Energy Sage and they recommended I stay with Energy Sage b/c pricing was slightly better. I started researching solar and spoke to 3 other companies before selecting Solar Optimum. They were the most knowledgeable and carried only the top of the line with Panasonic panels and Enphase. Covid 19 slowed things down a bit on the permission to turn on our system but overall, great experience with the team at Solar Optimum.
