Things Solar Optimum did well: 1. Engineering design was well done, pretty extensive, may be that is the reason why the approval, inspection, permission to operate were very quick to get approved. 2. City inspection, PG&E permission to operate were done fairly quickly. 3. Hardware offering was excellent, wish I got the IQ8A inverter instead of the IQ8M. 4. We had a great discussion with Solar Optimum and our experience with getting to know the service they provided went well. They were a strong contender, but in the end we went with another provider that was local and had their own crew. I cannot rate their actual service as we haven't reached that far.
Solar Optimum gave me the cheapest quote, although I ended up going with another locally owned company - overall experience was good.
We chose Solar Optimum because of the good reviews on Energy Sage. They were responsive and answered all my questions. There was one tiny hiccup after the install but was promised that it will get resolved. Still waiting for inspection and PTO as install was only finished a few days ago.
I’ve been communicating with Allen for a few months now at this point and they have never been rude or rushed me into a decision. Gabriel has been updating my quote almost on a monthly basis and just a friendly guy. I’ll be moving forward with Solar Optimum and update my review as the project progresses.
I went with solar optimum because of their warranty and reviews. They were up to the expectations and got the project designed, approved, and installed efficiently and smoothly. They were fast to come to troubleshoot an issue with the sensor. Their customer service agents are available and helpful. I had to upgrade the app and the battery firmware and they walked me through the steps. Highly recommend them.
Solar optimum was awesome, they answered all my questions quickly, they were the lowest cost for me by thousands. and their warranties are great. I have had the system for about a year now and my bills (every 2 months) from the utility went from about $900 down to a high this month of $94. its been hot and the AC has been on a bit more than usual and i bought a second EV. We were planning to go to solar for our home in San Jose, CA. Got quote with Solar optimum using energy sage. Went ahead with them after seeing positive reviews here and after speaking with their consultant. Got the contract and signed the initial agreement. I applied for financing using their preferred lender Salal Credit Union, got loan approval email same day. Solar Optimum was good with Quote price and kept me updated with the steps . This was for install in Temple City, CA. The whole process include upgrading service panels, city inspection of panel upgrade, permit and PTO. Took roughly 3 months in total. Got quotes from Francisco Guerra in late March but didn't decide until early April (make sure you response to the sales rep asap within your EnergySage quote date for the agreed price).
