Had a lovely meal. Food was well prepared and presented. Highly recommended. We will return.
The experience begins with a choice of bread including a bacon cheddar cheese bread that is the envy of the baking world. The menu is divided into categories allowing for a several course meal or lighter options. The dessert menu is the best in the city with seasonal rotation of soufflés and their famous tiramisu. Roxy's excels at customer service. The management always greets each table and remembers their locals.
inventive ingredient pairings with prime cuts made this an enjoyable gastronomic adventure. The mushroom ravioli appetizer was almost a meal in itself - in fact all the portions were huge. Only downside was our party of three was seated in a small circular room that was dominated by a large table filled with screeching woman (a bachlorette party or something?) with the room being round, you couldn't help but have bad accoustics - it sounded like we were in a sports stadium for the last half of our meal.
Dinner was fantastic. The waiter was great. We had a difficult time reading the menu as I forgot my glasses and it was romantically dark. He whipped out a handy mini light/magnifying glass. We ordered the lobster escargot appetizer, which was very yummy. We were going to pass on the bread, since we are dieting, but decided to forget about the diet for the night. Good thing! It was cheesy bacon bread and was out of this world. We dipped it in the lobster escargot butter sauce! Yummo! My husband ordered the prime rib and I had... read more
Had dinner here with my husband and college-aged vegetarian daughter. Food was excellent! Our waiter recommended allowing the chef to come-up with a vegetarian dish for our daughter as opposed to trying to pick a meat/seafood dish off the menu and leaving out the meat/seafood. The dish was wonderful and our daughter was ecstatic. I had the 8oz filet minon, husband-the salmon, both prepared perfectly. A very popular place, I would recommend making a reservation, really important if there is a popular show every one needs to g... read more
Service and food here is exceptional. We've eaten there many times and it is one of the best restaurants in America.
Nothing like the Mushroom Ravioli -scrumptious!
Great food in a beautiful setting. We chose to share the lobster - escargot style, we each enjoyed the lobster bisque. We ordered the prime rib and cowboy, bone-in rib-eye. The selection of sides is interesting and diverse. We enjoyed our meal very much and will likely visit again on our next trip out to Reno. The Martini menu is huge. Our selections in that regard were fantastic.
The food was not good. The salad was drenched in vinaigrette so you could only eat the top. The escargot was under seasoned and the garlic was old, resulting it just tasting like snails in butter. The paella rice was soggy and the sauce was again very under seasoned and just tomato. The chicken pieces were rubbery erasers and there was nothing seasoning the “lobster tail”. The prawns were so overcooked they were stringy. The service was extremely attentive and friendly. This is the only reason for the overall two stars. The ... read more
