We have been going to Roxy for years and it has always been great. We went last night after not going for some time and it was horrible. Our steaks were not cooked properly. Mine was suppose to be medium it was raw inside and the texture of the meat itself was jiggly like Jell-O didn’t eat even the edges of it. The standards for food and service have gone down at this establishment. The last two outings here have been disappointing to say the least. There seemed to be a lack of training and accountability with the service staff, and most of our food was bland and under seasoned. The manager or sommelier was helpful. Our waitress explained she was new to fine dining and service was a struggle for her, but she was trying, it just seemed that she lacked support. On our reservations we mentioned that we were celebrating a birthday. No mention of that. Also our reservation was T 7pm and was seated 15 minutes later. Our wait person complained that they were tired over and over. The lamb ribs were not cooked all the way. And when we ordered coffee no spoons were given. This was our first time there and won’t be back

The service was not good. Ordered a Caesar salad never got it , the waiter brought our entrees before we got our salad and brought my wine at the end of my meal. He never checked on us just disappeared after he delivered our appetizer. Until he brought our entrees I left restaurant with my wine in hand being we were in a casino it didn’t matter if I was walking around with a glass of wine, but would have enjoyed it more with my meal.

I ordered the rib eye which had very little taste. My daughter had the salmon and that was quite tasty. Service was minimal but ok.

Overpriced and they forgot several things that we ordered. Had to wait for them, In turn, my 95 dollar lobster tail was so cold.

I am uncomfortable writing a negative review, but the complaints I have about the food are not picky or unfounded. I was looking forward to the escargot, which are difficult to find on a menu. So I was doubly disappointed to encounter these virtually inedible. The only discernible seasoning was parsley, which tasted like grass. No garlic, no bread crumbs, no moments under the broiler. I really like coming to eat at Roxy's every time we're here at Reno, but this one time I really felt disappointed with the service. Our waiter seemed impatient and really didn't come around as much, we had to keep asking several people several times for more bread, then our bread was literally put on top of our bread basket that was clearly left with left over crust from all the other bread we had eaten which shocked me; after all how difficult is it to remove a basket full of leftovers and bring a new basket instead . Wow. Very expensive for the quality of the steaks. Had the prime rib and filet mignon; honestly at the level of a Coco’s or Applebees. Truffle Mac and cheese was watery and flavorless. On the brighter side, the staff were very nice and really great bread service. Also the cream horseradish was good.
