Made reservation three day in advance and was still seated at worst table in the restaurant. So if you make a reservation ask to not be seated by the doors that go into the Sushi place or on a hallway.

Server was awful. Spent entire time upselling. Sold us on the halibut, fresh and all that....anything but. Maitre d was nice, changed servers etc but the evening was blown. Don’t go.

First our request for a birthday celebration was not expressed at all at the Roxy, did they forget or just ignore it. I asked for a glass of wine, the waiter forgot and I had to ask twice. We told the waiter that we were going to order separate appetizers and share the entrée, which was a filet mignon, he split the salad (and we were charged, ok) but he did not bring out a second knife for my wife. Atmosphere and food was amazing! I have been several times and the food is always great. Enjoyed the live music that carried down from the bar.

We enjoyed our waiter. He has been with Roxy for about 20 years. He had a dry sense of humor. His service was efficient and his knowledge of the menu was excellent. The food served to our group of 4 was marginal in quality, and quite expensive. My wife had the Salmon which she said was over spiced and over cooked. I had the Prime Rib. It was smothered in a sauce with mushrooms. Part of the meat needed a steak knife to cut while the only required a fork. There was a lot of fat in the meat making it hard to work around. We were one of the first reservations of the evening and it took us over an hour to get our food. Don’t bother ordering the crab cake...$18 for ONE crab cake, that’s ridiculous. Meat was dry. First time being to this restaurant and will be my last. Table position was questionable, felt like we were just thrown into a corner table to be out of everyone’s way. Not a great first impression

The staff was not accommodating and set us in the corridor even though we had specific reservations. The Short Rib was fatty and tough, the Hangar Steak was tough and over-cooked. Nothing about this meal was worth the cost. The worst part was the Bacon Cheese Bread as dense, cold, and stale.

I’m really sorry to have to write this review, because I’ve worked in retail, but almost all the restaurants/bars in the row need major help with service standards. Roxy was the worst dining experience I’ve had in Reno. Slow service, not a great menu (who serves porterhouse steak with French fries?). The worst part of all; after waiting over an hour for our main course, my husband’s chicken was RAW in the middle. Just terrible. 10 out of 10 will NOT be back or recommend.
