I have never encountered such inappropriate business practices. I should have known from my first conversation to not agree to contract them. Very pushy and aggressive phone conversation. However, a friend had recommended. I had 2 services thus far. They scheduled a third without consulting me. I work full time so need to be present to allow entry and I have dogs. We had our service provider show up, and they rang the doorbell at 2:17pm, started treatment at 2:19pm, and was back in the van by 2:23pm I think it's a bit outrageous to charge someone $125 for 3 minutes of service. I do not expect to pay this bill for this service, and wish to fully discontinue my service with Edge.
A Rep stopped by our new home unsolicited by us telling us they had a $80 a quarter special. It was a LIE! Be VERY careful what you SIGN. The price on the Contract WAS NOT what the Sales Person told my husband and I when he stopped by. He has you sign the contract on his Pad and doesn't leave you a copy of it. Sales person arrived at my door not wearing a mask during increasing covid-19 infections but I had the sense not to speak with them face to face but with a glass door between us. Shady business practices. After researching for local pest control, I called what I thought was a local company but a call center answered my call and then transferred me to Edge Pest Control (which actually, I found out later, was another call center in Utah (Red Flag #1). High pressure sales with misleading statements. He asked way too many questions. I asked if they were a member of the BBB. He showed me a screen on his device showing BBB. He rattled off supposed neighbors names, but I have never of any of them.I was trying to keep my distance and he kept edging closer. He wasn't going to allow me to terminate conversation. Deceptive, shady practices, awful salesman. I had a salesman come to my front door on a Sunday in late May/ early June 2020. He was extremely pushy, and after stating that I didn't have much along the lines of money, he parted ways. He came back the next day, and told me he had gotten permission from his boss to charge 80 dollars for an initial service, followed by quarterly servcies for around 270. I have had them out to respray an ant problem multiple times. Now they are not answering their customer service line. I was on call waiting for several hours. No one returns my call or answers my requests for service from their web site. This is very frustrating. Since they do not answer the phone I cannot even cancel my service contract.
I signed up with Edge Pest Control last year 2019 for quarterly service as well as mosquito service. I have called multiple times to have a respray done and my calls have gone unreturned. I have also sat on hold multiple times for 30 minutes to get a message that they are not taking calls. I am unable to even cancel my service.
