I purchased a used car last summer and added the gap coverage through Safeguard. That car was totaled recently and I was extremely thankful for that gap coverage purchase. The completed pay-off process was very lengthy but mostly due to MY car insurance companys slow processing. I was diligent in calling every day to expedite things. I lost count of the number of customer service reps I spoke to these past weeks, but everyone from Safeguard was extremely nice and helpful! I had a great Supervisor named ****** **** who helped me resolve my issues concerning my reimbursement for a tire. So, I was not aware that I needed prior approval before getting my tire fixed if I wanted my warranty to be honored. I just purchased my QX55 Infiniti and when the tire blew out my policy was so new the dealership that I had fix it called in to Safe Guard but was told they didn't see my policy. They offer a bunch of services but I can only comment on their used car warranty. Bought a used car from Vroom, who referred my warranty claims to Safe-Guard. The dealership service advisor said that he had to do some convincing but Safe-Guard did cover three of the four biggest issues. I have zero complaints as the end customer - they paid for these car repairs after a small deductible. I easily give them 4 out of 5 stars!

I purchased a 2-yo **** from Vroom in early 2021, and added an $1,800 Platinum warranty on the vehicle. I never received a contract from Vroom or Safe-Guard. After Vroom went out of business, I assumed the warranty was also no longer in effect. Last month I heard a high-pitch whistle from the engine, and a cursory internet search revealed a likely *** leak. When I took it to a mechanic trusted by 2 other ****-owning colleagues, the *** issue was quickly confirmed, so I left it at the mechanic for 2 days to complete the work.... read more

Absolutely disgusted at how my claim has been "handled". My vehicle was totaled on July 31st and there has been nothing done. Today is November 6th. I will continue to contact this company until you do your job. Ref: ******** in case you need it but I doubt you'll use it.

Safe Guard GAP Insurance is a scam. Although my car was deemed a totaled loss through my insurance company. It was difficult to finalize the remaining payment to the lien holder. Safe Guard asks for documents that have already been submitted over and over again. They want you to continue making payments although you no longer have the car. Some advice, go through your insurance company or credit union to purchase GAP, not the dealership, they are getting paid by commission. They dont care!

Purchased tire rim and wheel protection plan. Wheel was damaged. Dealership stated damage could not be repaired. Safe-Gaurd denied claim to replace wheel. Cost of policy was ********. Coat of new wheel was 1.200.00. Total waste of money. Cost is essentially the same as a new wheel and they dont stand behind the policy. Do your research before buying!!!!

Called 3 times to be connected to an agent about canceling insurance and to get my refund status since I paid my car off and was told to hold and the person would transfer me to the cancellation department. My call was magically disconnected every time. If I could rate it a zero I would.
