I purchased a used car last summer and added the gap coverage through Safeguard. That car was totaled recently and I was extremely thankful for that gap coverage purchase. The completed pay-off process was very lengthy but mostly due to MY car insurance companys slow processing. I was diligent in calling every day to expedite things. I had a great Supervisor named ****** **** who helped me resolve my issues concerning my reimbursement for a tire. So, I was not aware that I needed prior approval before getting my tire fixed if I wanted my warranty to be honored. I just purchased my QX55 Infiniti and when the tire blew out my policy was so new the dealership that I had fix it called in to Safe Guard but was told they didn't see my policy. They offer a bunch of services but I can only comment on their used car warranty. Bought a used car from Vroom, who referred my warranty claims to Safe-Guard. The dealership service advisor said that he had to do some convincing but Safe-Guard did cover three of the four biggest issues. I have zero complaints as the end customer - they paid for these car repairs after a small deductible. I easily give them 4 out of 5 stars!

I put a claim in on a tire replacement on my RV and it has been over 2 1/2 months and I still have not received payment, check has not been sent. I had to pay out-of-pocket for this repair and I have spent over 14 hours trying to deal with this company to try to get it reimbursed and it still has not happened. Buyer beware do not buy Good *** tire and wheel protection insurance.

Would not let me purchase gap directly, which had no reason why , selling only to dealerships has to be an illegal thing. Then the guy had an attitude about it .

Please be very, very careful when considering purchasing coverage for your vehicle from this company. Word to the wise, please READ the contract you are about to sign, especially the fine print. I purchased tire and wheel coverage for my '24 ******* Santa Fe, did so knowing the Pirelli tires and rims were fairly expensive. Recently I had a blow out due to missing pavement in the roadways while traveling out of state. Had a tow truck change the tire, and noticed a large dent on the inside of the rim. I spent 2 hours on the phone with safe guard trying to get my contract initiated yesterday and they finally just hung up on me. They sent me to 5 different departments who all clearly had scripts to read from (because it was precisely the same run around they gave me the last time I called, with precisely the same wording from every department).There is an error in the contractMe: what is the error I dont know. Have used this company as been sold over several car purchases as the extended TIRE AND WHEEL WARRANTY company and been good experience and delayed return of TIRE AND WHEEL WARRANTY refunds over the years, but never have I been short paid, like this time. They claimed because the dealer sold their company that THEY could not pay the full refund to me. I ended up having to file complaints with the PA AG and BBB Autoline which resulted in taking ******* to arbitration after ****** *****, working as a supervisor for Safeguard, denied replacement of a failed motor due to reasons not listed in our *** ******* warranty. In doing so safeguard violated Federal and State Consumer protection laws multiple times and also provided false information in the Manufacturer response form turned in for the arbitration hearing.
