A Traumatic experience I would not recommend at all. And there should be like a no star required We are new home owners in upstate NY Cohoes to be exact, so we decided that since we have $500 voucher from veterans united we would use it and just have the basic plan so when the time the scheduled installation was up the technician was late and had to rush me. I have the most terrible experience I called to request service as 2 of my windows contact fell and can’t put them back. I tried to explain that It’s been less than a year and Rony screamed at me and said that she is working from home and watching TV to call back later. Rude and disrespectful.
I am a resident in California with a 2 year contract with “safe haven” ADT. I was told it was going to be 65$ a month with a 50$ installation fee. After getting charged installation and equipment fees it was close to 600$. After a few months I came to a realization that if I were to go with ring I would pay a one charge of $200 for a ring camera. Now I will be paying $2160 for 2 years. YOU TELL ME HOW I LIKE MY SYSTEM READ BELOW!!!!!!! THE SAFE-HAVEN GUY WHO INSTALLED MY SYSTEM AND ALSO HAS COME OUT 3 TIMES AFTER THAT ADVISED THIS. HE TOLD ME MY HOUSE IS NOT SAFE WHEN ALL THE LIGHTS CHANGE FROM GREEN TO RED. Horrible service. We were lied to about what we got. We weren't told out internet carrier doesn't support this service so we literally pay for nothing. We call 2 months later to cancel and are told we can't unless we pay 1700 dollars to get out of the contract. Mind you, we were not aware of this at install.
Told them that I need an alarm system that would wake me, a deaf person, from sleep. They didn't follow through and didn't tell me that you only get 3 days to return this. What's worse, their technology is outdated and doesn't work with your smart home system. Now I'm stuck with an expensive 3 year contract with a company that's useless to me. I'm forced to seek legal venues to get out of this. Run away from this company. You're better off with any other smart home system.
Sales rep misrepresented and outright lied about what I was purchasing, and the length of the contract. The tech brought different equipment, and when we called the sales rep for an explanation, she said she'd call back, but didn't. The tech let my indoor cat out into the street after I specifically requested he take care not to - and he didn't even tell me it happened. He just got all nervous and suddenly rushed to leave. Can’t get a technician to show up to an appointment. Have had to confirmed appointments and no call no shows.
I bought a new home that was supposed to come with a smart home system from the builder. Safe Haven was contracted to do the install for my whole neighborhood. When they came to do the install what was already paid for, they spent the entire time pressuring me into signing a contract for over-priced alarm service and used the classic, car-dealership tactics of "let me call my boss and see if we can get you a better deal".
