I purchased a used guitar that was listed in mint condition. It arrived with multiple defects including a crack in the finish near the neck. Dealing with Sam Ash customer service is difficult if you have a problem like this. I won't buy from them again.
I ordered online and was contacted by someone from the New Jersey store I believe, Joe, he was my only pleasant part of this entire experience. The item I ordered was only available as the “play model” in each store. He reached out to the other stores to find me the one in the best condition. I received an item not even remotely connected to what I ordered. Then I was forced to take it to FedEx as if it was my fault to fix. Have yet to hear if they received the item or if they have sent the proper item. I needed it for a rehearsal and am now never doing business with Sam Ash ever again and will encourage other musicians to do the same. If I don't get word my item is on it's way very soon I'm going to my bank...
Shipped the wrong item. Then told me to send back the bad item and they promised to send the correct item I initially ordered. Once I sent the incorrect item back, they simply cancelled the item and never sent the item I really needed / ordered and left me hanging bad. Not recommended. Still need what I tried to order.
Team with another store like its your store
The rep was great. The Keyboard I purchased came with damaged keys, had to ship it back and order a new one. The second one came with damaged keys. I needed this item by a certain date. I was willing to try for a third time but I needed it overnighted. I spoke with one of the managers who was going to follow up with me the next day after I send the tracking number and work on getting the 3rd item overnighted. Never heard from them. Make sure the item send out is in good condition so I don't have to return it right away. It is such a hassle for not having my item but I was charged for it.
Faulty advertising. Bait and switch. Not able to RMA. Terrible experience and will be avoiding SamAsh.
There is a lack of staff. Had to walk and ask for help and had several questions and tried asking a staff member that supposedly knows about drums and turned out he didn’t. Honestly there should be better customer service and more friendlier service.
