Yes, the waiting is terrible, but I'm used to waiting long periods of time at the doctor or what not. What's not forgivable is an utter lack of service and effort. I came here a few years back after I had started receiving large pink spots on my body. Dr. Groisser looked at me--from the distance of the door to my chair--and told me I had keratosis pilaris. The absolute worst. They don't give messages to the medical staff so don't ever expect a call back. They are rude and utterly incompetent. What a mistake to go this group. Never again.
The disdain that this office shows to it's patients is really remarkable. I run a business. My time is valuable. I scheduled an appointment early in the morning so I would be able to see Dr. Nossa and get to work. After 20 minutes of waiting I politely asked the nurse how late he was running. Used to go to this dermatologist for 11 years. Service became really bad. Waited an hour for an appointment I would schedule months in advance. I asked the front desk when I would be called and got an attitude. Then seeing doctors would be less than a 5 minute process. They'd hardly look at me, write up some topical cream scripts and send me on my way. Then I started doing laser hair removal. Dr. Nossa burned me so badly I was in so much pain. I am not one to write a review but after my horrible experience I have too. I was a patient for a year. There is no doubt in my mind that the doctors and PAs know what they are doing but the office staff is horrible. I have had two different incidences where I have left a message for someone to call me back and ever received a call. Saw this clinic a couple of years ago for a number of suspicious looking moles. A nurse practitioner was quick to suggest surgery and removed two, one which scarred significantly, despite being benign. I was referred to one of their plastic surgeons for the other, near my eye. It was removed partially (not sure why not entirely), never quite healed, and now, two years later, it's turned into basal cell carcinoma and I need more surgery. Do not, by any means, have any medical procedures or examinations done by The Dermatologist Group. After consulting with a dermatologist for a growth on my face, I was told to find a plastic surgeon. Dr. Moskowitz told me he would make a 1-2 mm incision, take a sample, and close it with one stitch. After an incredibly painful and uncomfortable surgery which included snipping, squeezing, and pulling, Dr. Moskowitz placed a bandaid over my face. This place is so unprofessional....DO NOT GO HERE!!!! I walk in and the lady looks a me hard and says sign in. Then they tell me the doctor is not in. A phone call would have been nice so that I didn't waste me time driving here and walking up my 2 year old to make an early appointment. This place is a joke.
Don't waste your time. I made an appointment to remove a mole on my hand in West Orange office. During my consult, I didn't see a doctor rather a PA, who told me I needed to meet with their plastic surgeon. So the office scheduled an appointment. I went to see the surgeon, he wasn't there. I saw another PA who told me they needed to schedule another appointment because the office erred in scheduling the appointment. I was frustrated.
