unknown I had Scientific replace a picture and two side windows in my front room. Jonathan Koloms came out and gave me an estimate and was very informative about their product. He thoroughly went over how and when the work would be done. Within days of putting down the down payment a gentleman came and did all the measurements. Jon took a close look at the window, inside and outside. He determined the water penetrated due to cracks in the caulk around the window. He said the issue would be resolved by re-caulking the window and repairing the water damage. This type of project is nothandled by Scientific as their business focuses on selling and installing new windows. Jon suggested that a qualified handyman could do the work for me. I met with 3 different window companies. I picked the top 3 with the most number of reviews on Angieslist. I was very impressed with what I learned about the company and it looked to me from the outside that many in their company have been there for a really long time. As with most people, my wife and I approached this project with much trepidation as there is no shortage of unhappy folks who've undertaken similar projects. Installers were very prompt, efficient, informative and cleaned up well. All the furniture nearby was covered before beginning work. Questions I asked as they were working were all answered courteously and fully. Replaced two casement windows. Replaced small section of rotted wood discovered when old window removed.

Scientific was great from the clear assessment and estimate through installation. Jon came out and looked at our place. He was open about what should be done and what did not need to be replaced now. He was very knowledgeable about the window engineering and manufacturing. We got other estimates but Scientific was lower or within range and many times more professional than the other companies we met with. They removed all our windows and replaced them. Damien and Yuri did a fantastic job. They were so clean and neat after they were finished would never have known they were there other than the beautiful high end windows they installed that is. Their trim work was excellent as well. I honestly could not think of one negative with the experience. I would recommend Scientific home services to anyone looking to replace windows. When talking with Jon Koloms during his time at my house I asked him some questions about the job that I wanted done. Each question I asked he provided me with a detailed and honest answer. At the end of his visit we decided that the job I wanted done at my house was not a job suited for his company. My overall experience was excellent. Low-pressure sales which is always nice and their cost is competitive with other providers. They take credit cards without charging a fee which is awesome. From my research, the soft lite windows they sell are superior to other vinyl replacement brands. Damien and his guy installed the windows and they were very professional and did an excellent job.
