My house was built in the 1920s and still had its original basement windows, which did not open. I called Scientific to replace them because in the past, this company has done a good job with other windows in my house. Jay and another worker did the job during a pretty heavy rainstorm. They were drenched, but my basement stayed dry. The installation went well, and they cleaned up nicely at the end. (They also covered everything in plastic before starting the work.) I met with Jon Koloms to review my options and make my selection. The doors and windows came in within the promised time. The installation was scheduled at my convenience. Damian Kusek and Yuri arrived on time and went right to work. They were both polite, professional, and hard-working. The installation went smoothly and they did a great job of keeping the work area clean. The Charlie bars for the doors had been forgotten so Damian left to buy them. Great experience! We used Scientific to replace the windows in our drafty garden apartment. It was such an amazing difference, our heating costs dropped 30%! When the seals blew in a majority of the windows in one of our other units, Scientific was our first call. Everything was smooth, from the estimate to the install. They worked incredibly clean - and even took extra precautions because there is a baby that lives in the apartment. They were great. Very professional and did a great job keeping everything clean. I couldn't be more thrilled with the windows and will definitely use them in the future when we upgrade more windows! Scientific Homes installed 10 new vinyl efficient windows in our 100 year old house.

Jon and Mark were great to work with over the phone, they were very good at responding to my phone calls and/or voice mails in a timely manner. They were very responsive. Damian and his partner did an excellent job replacing my four windows. They are very professional, considerate and punctual. They worked fast and efficiently, placing plastic over furniture and flooring to ensure no dust or debris reached these areas. They cleaned up after themselves inside and outside. The staff and crew were great. From the beginning, they explained everything that went into a decision to buy replacement windows. I was so nervous, given how big the job was, and they listened to and answered all my questions. John helped me pick out the best window for my needs and I couldn't be happier. Jon was fantastic. He was extremely knowledgeable about the window conditions, types of windows, manufacturers, window replacement and maintenance options. In addition, Jon was very honest in his opinion about the condition of the windows, which was very much appreciated (i.e. did not try to just sell windows). Our kitchen window above our sink was the original window since our townhouse was built in 1993. It rotted and needed to be replaced. I did a search for window replacement on Angie's List. We don't believe in high pressure sales tactics such as 'Save $250 on 2 windows, $500 on 4 windows or $1000 on 6 windows'. Excellent work and clean up. We have used Scientific a few times and always are impressed with their service. The two installers worked for two days, covered all furniture and moved what was in way of work area. I was a little surprised at how noisy this work is- crowbarring out doors and windows is noisy but they cleaned up amazingly well. I did vacuum after they left but barely needed to. Replaced windows in three bedrooms and front and back storm doors.
