Our inspector was Joe Ophoff, and he was quite thorough. Joe likely spent about 2 hours going through a prefabricated list of home items with what Scott Home Inspection provides their inspectors with. Joe then spent another half an hour explaining to us what the report would likely highlight and we could best work through it. We've owned 4 homes in our lives, this being the fifth, and three of the previous homes had inspections and none were anywhere close to as thorough as Joe's. Great inspection with a super useful report. The best report I have ever seen. In fact in California I have never found such company to do digital interactive report of this caliber. Was pleasantly surprised in Colorado to receive such service. The quality of detail and ease of use helped us negotiate for repair credits during the purchase. It's totally worth the money. I'm currently going through the home buying process and Scott Home Inspection made the home inspection quick and easy. My realtor handled the initial scheduling, but then they called me to discuss the details and timeline. On the day of the inspection Joe Ophoff was our inspector and he did a great job walking us around and through the home to explain his findings. He was extremely thorough and helpful. The online portal is also convenient for reviewing the results.

Engaged Scott Home Inspection for a prepurchase inspection. The inspector, Dave S. was extremely informative and thorough with his work. As a first time home buyer, having him inspect our future home is imperative for negotiations and piece of mind. His guidance and recommendations will serve us for years to come as we build a life in our new home. I was initially skeptical of the high price of a full inspection but it was more than worth it and we dodged an expensive bullet after seeing the results of the radon and mold tests. The inspection report was incredibly detailed and the two day inspection totaled over 4 hours for a 970 sf duplex. Was it cheap? No. Was it expensive relative to spending several hundred thousand dollars for an albatross? Not at all. Will be a repeat customer.
