I rented from them for two years and within those two years they would neglect maintance issues for long duration of time then charge the tenant(us) a fee because the issue got so out of hand and started causing other issues. Every single month we put have to call and dispute fees that they would put on the rental portal without notifying us about them. Second Avenue is the most incompetent company I have ever dealt with. We moved in on June 24th. On July 2nd, our AC went out. I have photos of our house being 90 degrees. It took a week to even be in contact with a contractor to come out and fix it. Finally when we did get in contact he never showed up. I called second avenue, and requested that a new contractor come out and fix it. We get a hold of the contractor after the previous one. Its the same guy who doesnt show up. Living in a Second Ave property with my 2 small children. So far since our move-in, in June, we have had at lease 10 different contractors out to the home to "fix" things. The first contractor sent out made us aware of a huge carbon monoxide leak coming up from our basement, when he was coming to fix our hot water heater that was out for OVER 2 WEEKS. Currently living in a second avenue property. We have had main line pipe issues since moving in a year and a half ago. They keep patching the problem and not fixing it. Currently we have been 16 days without being able to shower, clean dishes, flush toilets, use water without our kitchen and master bedroom backing up and flooding with sewage. I applied to a house by this reality company in Palm coast **. Im literally sick of all of these crooked reality companies Im so glad I look up reviews first and do my research. Moved to ********** AL July 9th. Didnt receive the move in doc in the 7 days, Its void. Apparently air conditioning maintenance is my responsibility even though there mold and debris. The windows don't open close properly. There is no PM in the city to assist and the managers are unavailable. This is the absolute worst people to rent from. Beware of all the general cost and responsibilities that are now your undertaking. Very, very poor
I live in San Antonio, Texas. I do not recommend renting from this company. We are renting a brand new home. The home needs foundation repairs, and the house is under warranty. We have been here for over a year and are still going back and forth with Second Avenue to have the foundation repaired. I have been getting nothing but the run around.
