Moved to ********** AL July 9th. Didnt receive the move in doc in the 7 days, Its void. Apparently air conditioning maintenance is my responsibility even though there mold and debris. The windows don't open close properly. There is no PM in the city to assist and the managers are unavailable. This is the absolute worst people to rent from. Beware of all the general cost and responsibilities that are now your undertaking. Very, very poor
I live in San Antonio, Texas. I do not recommend renting from this company. We are renting a brand new home. The home needs foundation repairs, and the house is under warranty. We have been here for over a year and are still going back and forth with Second Avenue to have the foundation repaired. I have been getting nothing but the run around. I am currently a resident in a Second Avenue property. I had a septic tank backup which overflowed sending waste and sewage into the residence. I contacted maintenance who in turn contacted a plumber. The plumber texted me and determined that this was not in his scope, as it appeared to be a septic issue. He send the request back to Second Avenue. Moved in on June 28 and since then have had issues. Was promised a cleaning before moving in and it was not completed. Upon moving in dead bugs littered the whole house. The yard is full of trash and broken glass. I stepped on a rusty nail that went through my shoe. The washing machine drain is not able to be used as it is not up to code. The side entrance to my house is not secure and is held in place by placing screws in the door jam to prevent the door from swinging open. I relocated to Jacksonville Florida May 10th when I took procession of the property of second avenue realty out of Tampa. I have never dealt with such an incompetent company in my life. The refrigerator went out on a Monday I tryed to call maintenance they want everything done online through their portal yet there is no way to leave notes. It took 6 days to get a refrigerator & only after I made a call to the main office to state I was filing a formal complaint. Second Avenue lets their property rot, they don't maintain and from the looks of it, don't require their tenant to maintain either. Their property has over grown and attracts rodents and bugs. If you want to rent from them, just know you will have little assistance as well. Go check out all the negative reviews! I can tell you it took them at least three months and multiple contractors from obscure businesses to deal with some sort of water issue.
