I am currently a resident in a Second Avenue property. I had a septic tank backup which overflowed sending waste and sewage into the residence. I contacted maintenance who in turn contacted a plumber. The plumber texted me and determined that this was not in his scope, as it appeared to be a septic issue. He send the request back to Second Avenue. Moved in on June 28 and since then have had issues. Was promised a cleaning before moving in and it was not completed. Upon moving in dead bugs littered the whole house. The yard is full of trash and broken glass. I stepped on a rusty nail that went through my shoe. The washing machine drain is not able to be used as it is not up to code. I relocated to Jacksonville Florida May 10th when I took procession of the property of second avenue realty out of Tampa. I have never dealt with such an incompetent company in my life. The refrigerator went out on a Monday I tryed to call maintenance they want everything done online through their portal yet there is no way to leave notes. It took 6 days to get a refrigerator & only after I made a call to the main office to state I was filing a formal complaint. Second Avenue lets their property rot, they don't maintain and from the looks of it, don't require their tenant to maintain either. Their property has over grown and attracts rodents and bugs. If you want to rent from them, just know you will have little assistance as well. Go check out all the negative reviews! I had an issue with my eviction I called them multiple times to discuss they literally kept ignoring the calls and sending me straight to voicemail. I dont know what type of professional company handles with that way but most definitely a learning experience if you take one thing from this review please do not rent from them the worst ever.

ABSOLUTELY NEVER RENT FROM THIS COMPANY! I'd leave negative stars if possible. I moved into my property nearly a year ago, after paying the atrocious fees and deposits. There were no screens in the windows, I put that on my move in inspection paperwork, I still have NO SCREENS! They have sent out numerous people, to which I have utilized my PTO for, with no results. ONE WORD RUN!!!! This company is the absolute worst and we have been having several issues with them since we moved in. Weve had to put in several work orders and they never come when they are supposed to. When they do come you never get a call ahead. Weve had several issues with their online portal and paying rent. As a REALTOR in ************, I live near a property managed by Second Avenue. Their tenant has disrupted our neighborhood of 38 homes with unacceptable behavior, including Spitting at walkers, aggressively yelling and cursing at residents, and improper trash management.
