After speaking to the DM and her apologizing for the way I was treated she promised me she would honor my reservation I made.I moved units and now they hiked up the price and the DM refuses to return my calls.This is a scam as they said they would do what's right allow me to move into the new unit then jack up the price.That is unfair and a scam.

I went to my storage unit today and the elevator (The only way to get to my unit) was not functioning. Also, the door to the building was wide open and would not close. After an hour of trying, I finally got hold of a person, who immediately sent me to my property manager's voicemail, on which I had already left a message and received no response. Public Storage has absolutely no customer service and their facilities are a joke. And they surely are not cheap and get more pricey every couple of months.

(((( SCAM ALERT)))) In my experience, Public Storage uses highly manipulative and deceitful sales tactics to rush you into making decisions and force to accept FREE insurance whereby you are then locked into a contract and have to jump through hoops to get out. According to other reviews...they won't let you cancel. Another tactic big sleazy companies use. The call center rep claims: "Hurry...Hurry...Hurry.... storage units are renting fast"....meanwhile the rep tries to slam me into a lawyered up contract agreeing to accept... read more

Unfair discriminatory unavailable practices the manager ********* the Hallsferry location demanded I only pay cash. **** kept locking men out of my account with little explanations . The contract clearly stated Weve been trying to get in touch with you regarding the past due balance on your account. After multiple attempts, we still havent received your response or your payment. My sister had a unit with Public Storage in *******************************. She was very sick and in the hospital so I paid her storage fee with my debit card. Public Storage took the information from my debit card and put me on autopay, to which I NEVER agreed. They refused to allow me to opt out. My sister then passed away and not only do I not have access to the storage unit to see what's in there but they won't take me off of autopay and told me that they would continue to take the money out of my account each month unl... read more

Zero stars. I rented a storage space online. Less than 15 minutes later I called to cancel because I had rented from the wrong place (it wasn't the one my husband had asked me to rent.) The lady I spoke with said she would cancel it right away. I received a "moving out" email and thought everything was taken care of. Two days later a charge for the rental unit showed up on my bank account. Beware - Public Storage raises rents by over 20%/year and well above current market rates. My 87 year old mother didn't pay attention to rate increase notices and I found out that they had jacked up the price for a unit that normally goes for $430 to $987! And when I called them they were not at all apologetic. We will be moving out!

Hello, I went to " Public Storage " 05/19/2024 I needed a storage ASAP the Property Manager at this location ***************** located In the south loop in ******* , ** I needed a storage unit ASAP ! Public storage is a joke. Raised prices very high. You move out of your storage unit and they do not give any money back for the remaining portion of the month. They have a sign in the unit stating you will get a check. They wrecked my son's gaming chair while painting and power washing the doors and building. Ridiculous stay away. Many other storage places that are cheaper and a lot nicer!
