I will never use them again..the give you a price then a few ****** later the raise it with no notification after complaining they fixed only to do it again a cpl ****** later with no notifacation...and then tell owell...they take advantage of people ...

Public storage - you've lost my business for life! Not that it's going to do any good, judging from all the other similar reviews, but I echo what so many other people are saying. To hear others use strong language such as "rapacious, socially irresponsible, price gaugers" is not an exaggeration. Like many of you, I was in a situation where I found myself unexpectantly needing storage. Heartless and greedy! I was with them for over a decade and when I was struggled financially and did not have a job, I had notified them and they replied by threatening me with a lien (which didn't what that was, I'd assumed it was a penalty they were going to add on to the 2 months I was behind in rent) when I said I would do the best that I can and I promised to find a way to pay them, the immediate response email (seconds after I sent my request for a little more time) was they were placing the lien. Black mold destroyed our belongings due to a roof leak and Public Storage will not take any responsibility what so ever. The mold is now traveling into the units next to us and still nothing is being done. This company is despicable. Cant even get in touch with their corporate office and the area manager has been worthless! Renters beware.

Public Storage is perhaps the biggest crooks in the industry. They are monopolizing and also raised my rates from $180.00-260.00 over this past year. Their insurance only pays $250.00 for your property being damaged by vermin. I've never seen so much dried rat urine and poop!!!! But we have pest control!!!! The insurance company will probably fight you over the $250.00. I have been renting for a year and a half and since then my rent has increased 120 dollars. For one this is ridiculous the rent started at 179 n is now 300. My unit is not big which makes this even more frustrating. Also 3 months after I got the storage there was a huge flood and the insurance did not cover all my belongs. I have called to get answers they were not nice and basically said that storage unit just go up. Its ever 6 months that Im experiencing this. I have never experienced units go up ever 6 months. We are a small, local nonprofit organization that needed to store our materials when the pandemic hit in early 2020. We rented a 10x15-foot unit in *******. Over the next 2 years Public Storage raised our monthly rental by 95%, from $221/month (not a bargain to start with!) to $430/month. Avoid this rapacious, socially irresponsible, publicly traded company! Go with a local storage company that respects its customers.
