Public Storage is not honest. For two years, I have been asking them to fix the door handle that was broken. It was really hard to open. They kept saying that the part was on back-order. For 2 years?And then they raised the price of my unit $30.00 with no warning. I would have appreciated a letter, email or text saying that they were raising the price. They stole my boyfriends brand new washer and dryer while he was renting a storage unit there and refuse to help us resolve the situation. Its nearly impossible to get someone to answer the phone, and whenever you go to the business office the doors are locked and the employee is either sitting in their parked car or driving around the lot smoking cigarettes. Thieves and extremely unprofessional.

My rent was raised 46% within a one year timeframe. First raised in May 2023, then against in November 2023. I started out paying $114 a month, and am now at $172 for a 5x10 storage space. I contacted ******, at the ******* office, and he couldn't help me. He told me that Public Storage makes rate increases "arbitrarily" and "at any time." I explained to him that his website advertises 5x10 space for $95/month right now, and he said he couldn't tell me why or do anything to help me. I've been a customer for close to 15 yrs. ******************************************* bought out the location and not long after started increasing the rates on my unit and eventually increased the price to $226 + tax for a 10 x 20 and it was previously Abt $157 before the increase, saying that was the current market. Now they are raising it to over $300 even though current base rate is $226 and new move ins get 50% off which is $113. It's clear that long term relationships are not valued at all. Please investigate public storage in ***************. I have been a customer for 5 years and pay my bill on time every month. I have had issues in the past but the most recent transgression is unforgivable. The time and resources I have lost as a business owner to deal with this and with no resolution is outrageous.They have been operating under unethical business practices and are run so incompetently that no one knows what is going on. I've had a unit for many years. It was affordably priced initially but they start gauging customers after awhile. They increase monthly rates without informing customers. If you complain they retract the increase for one month. If you are late on a payment they lock up your unit and threaten you. The people who work at the locations are friendly but the policies are not customer focused at all. They increased my monthly rate by $30, and I also noticed they started charging me insurance, which I didn't want, and was told I had to contact another company to get it removed?!?!? Nope. I got my belongings out of there.
The absolute WORST. I started storing here years ago before they were bought by Public Storage. It used to be immaculate, people always onsite and very friendly. Once it was bought out it went downhill. In the last 8 months, the light along my aisle hasn't worked, when I could actually talk to a person (2 times out of 10 that I tried) they told me that there were 17 work orders filed to request a repair, and that there was nothing else they could do.
