I have been trying to get my paperwork fixed from my mothers house. She passed away in Sept 2020 and once I had the deed changed over into my name, I sent all the paperwork in to Truist via fax. Everything was fine, I thought, until the March 24th 2023 Tornado that hit the house and has extensive damage. I called the bank to see how to proceed with the insurance claim and ask if I could move a couple of payments to the back of the loan and I was told that I didnt have access to the account. ZERO STARS!!! Suntrust was ok, but Truist is horrible!!! Since merging to Truist it has been the worst customer ********************** experiences. Hold times are ridiculous, with multiple times calling & holding for over an hour each time & still not getting the issue resolved. Would not recommend this bank to anyone. As you can see from all the previous reviews on the BBB, I can't believe this bank would still have any customers doing business with them.
Worst loan company out there, poor customer **********************. They will maliciously hit your credit score ,and even when you prove to them that it was their fault. They put the blame on you ,and hit your credit. They have done this to me multiple times. Trying to get things corrected is a losing battle. They don't even deserve the one star rating
Truist bought our mortgage.Our house was destroyed in a natural disaster.Truist was holding the rebuild funds from the insurance company.They refused to provide interest even though they were holding the funds for almost 2 years.

I had been with BB&T for years before the merger with SunTrust. The merger completely ruined two decent banks to create a massive crappy one. Poor customer **********************, unexplained fees on my checking account which lead me to close it. Their mobile banking app only works about 60% of the time. I could go on...I have had the same bank account for over 10 years, and now finally gave decided to start switching over to a new bank despite the inconveniences to me.

I really miss Suntrust. Truist has been the worst bank experience of my life. The app for online banking continuously locks you out or its not working at random times during the day. Then they want you to come into a branch to do the simplest waste of time things, on top of that when you do call youre placed on hold for 25 min. only for someone to come back to the phone to tell you, the supervisor is not available and I cant reach them, I cant assist, call tomorrow. ***** ass!

They closed my account and 20 later sent me a letter telling me theyre closing it and the date has 20 before I got it. And they took my money.
