When it was SunTrust it was a great bank, after being bought out by Truist it became the worst bank I have ever delt with. Customer ********************** is horrible, the branches are useless. I had an issue with my checking account, the ***** couldn't help, even the Branch manager was frustrated on how bad things have gotten since Truist came along. Sorry to leave the SunTrust employees but closing all the accounts and going to TD

Their affiliate, Regional Acceptance Corporation, is horrible. Negative stars but had to pick one.I got behind on my car payments and they harassed me at work, my coworkers and my family.I got in trouble at work for the phone calls being made to me and I even told the woman, ******, if that is even a correct name, that I was at work and she was disrupting me from doing my work. Truist is awful! Please bring back BB&T!!!? Since the merger if SunTrust, BBT and Truist we have had numerous issues: payments previously set up with BBT are not recognized by Truist; whereby, payments are not made to creditors.; We are still getting notification of accounts (4) that were closed 5 years ago, which makes it look like these are now ghost accounts- Have brought this up multiple times with Truist with no response or results. Worse customer ********************** I have ever experienced. We paid off a car loan early February 2023 and have been trying since that time to receive a refund on service warranty since that time. I have called them 10 times to try and resolve my refund owed to me and have spent a minimum of an hour each time discussing this issue. They always ask for 6-8 days to search and get back with me which they have never done. DO NOT BANK WITH THESE PEOPLE. This has got to be the worst Bank ever. I tried for over six months to get copies of my statements because I believe that they were scamming me. I just started getting them in 2023 after having the account for three years. The people that you talk to dont seem to have a clue as to whats going on at the bank or how to explain the most flustering bank transactions. If another bank would take my loan I would be gone like yesterday!! Dont use this bank!!!

Very rude and unprofessional on the supervisor(***********************). Payment changed when I missed a payment in February and since then I have been calling and giving the run around when I question why? I received today copies of electronic signed contracts that I have never seen or have ever received a copy of. In the conversations I have had today I have learned this is normal procedure for this company. So I either pay $13,000 in interest or bankrupt and get rid of the debt. Worst experience ever with this Truist bank. I opened my checking account with them and the banker who helped opening the account said the new account comes with a free checkbook if we would like. I thought it was nice so I said sure but when the checkbook arrived also a charge of $34.95 dollars on my account. I called the customer ********************** tried to dispute while got transferred and hanged up multiple times, nothing was resolved. I would not recommend this bank to anyone. I banked with BB&T for a cpl ***** after moving to VA--no issues, was perfectly happy. Then - BB&T merged with Truist. Everything seemed ok, at first. Started noticing more/larger fees, a LESS user-friendly app for regular banking, among other things. However, what has me unbelievably upset, is my experience w/Truist between yesterday and today. I called Truist on June 9th 2023 to close my checking account. To date, I have yet to receive my money. I have made repeated calls to Truist, to no avail. They refuse to connect me to the closed account department. They claim the check was mailed before the end of June but was returned even though the mailing address was correct. They would give me no further information.
