Truist has 0 customer **********************. After THEY made an error on my account and charged me $5000 for duplicate homeowners insurance, it took weeks of uploading documents, calling, being hung up on and talking to people who knew less than I did, they finally corrected the error.

For the past month and a half I have been hit with around ***** overdraft fees. Before that I was in a program that they have that does not allow overdraft fees by not approving anything that would overdraft the account. Then this started happening. I have been charged almost $600 in fees and when I called they said I was never in that program. I told them that I was and the supervisor said that I was never on it. I had opened up a account with the bank for myself and my child. This was an account that every other week when I was paid had a direct deposit of 20 dollars into the account. My child transferred some money from her account to my own and it sent twice. Making her account negative. The bank without communication or even reaching out to us closed her account but never stopped the transaction of withdrawing the money. The bank where we opened our business account 5 years ago, recently became Truist. They immediately began nickle and diming us. We are charged $4 for using the overnight deposit. Payment on the business credit card changed without warning. I don't recommend them for any business account.

Absolutely horrible!!! Truist branch in ********* **. Made a $16,000 deposit with a Certified Check and was told they had to hold it for 7 days! When I challenged the Certified check 2 day rule I was told its still a check and we will release it in two parts over a seven day period. This is garbage! The customer ********************** is an absolute joke! I banked with BB&T and Suntrust for 10 years and had a great relationship. Horrible. I didnt even want to give it one star but it was a required field. I wanted a zero or negative star. After SunTrust (who were awesome) merged, the bank deteriorated into the old 90s ******** of charging huge hidden fees. First they claim no canges to accounts and no changes to fees would be implemented. Then this January they started charging me for transfers from my savings account. Aflac sent me a check in the amount for ******** and this was the name of the bank on the check so I went to the bank in little creek road ************** to cash it the teller was rude stated she had to contact Aflac to confirm the check lady came back stated check was no good and they never heard of continental which was the name in the bank she said it was a scam I contacted Aflac and talk to the lady that mailed me the check I had took a loan out in my 10 year old life insurance police she stated that the check was good s... read more

Tried to open a promotional account. It opened the account and did not attach the promo. It initially denied the account being opened, then sends me an email that the acct had been generated. It did not send me an entire account # so I could not access mobile banking. I was given no opportunity to fund the account. Went to the bank. 2 tellers and 1 banker. Waited 45 minutes to speak to someone, they have no idea what they are doing. This bank is a joke. I had to close the useless account. Total NONSENSE.

Worst company ever. Never receive statements in the mail or they come in so late, I was forced to send to a P.O. Box in ********* that never seems to get mail. Customer ********************** is outsourced to some country where English is not spoken well or understood. Ever since this inept business took over from Suntrust, it has been a disaster. Inept, incompetent, and useless as a mortgage business. Does not deserve even one star. Should be a choice of zero stars.
