My Water Heater went out and was promised 12 month interest free financing but at the last second they changed the terms to 3 month interest free financing. These people are scam artists. I recently saw an ad where Truist bank was offering $400 for opening a truist one account. So I decide Ill take them up on the offer. I read through the fine print and notice that the account MUST be opened ONLINE to receive the funds (this is important) I proceed to submit an application and am denied because they cant find my information.I think thats strange because I am almost 30 years old, have had several bank accounts since I was about 16, have lived at my current address for years and w... read more

I will never get a loan through Truist again. You absolutely cannot make payments except through the app. So if you get locked out of the app youre ***. Every time I make a payment over the phone it only submits the last 4 digits of my checking account. So it of course fails and Im hit with fees (which I will dispute till Im blue in the face).The last time this happened I actually talked to a real person to make the payment and gave all my information, my full account number the whole deal. My husband has banked with Truist (first suntrust) for 20 years. When we got married I moved to Truist as well. I opened two business accounts with them and we opened a savings account for our child. Recently we were victims of fraud and Truist was completely unwilling to help. It has made us have serious conversations about moving banks as a result.
No Stars......I just opened a brand new personal checking account with ********************** 6 weeks ago, they sent me a notice I had to go into a local branch to verify my identity, ok. I did. I finally received my card 2 weeks ago activated it, I log in today to get my account started and transfer funds, they closed my brand new account because of zero balance for "30 days". Can't do less than a 1. Nearly impossible to pay online. Can't get a hold of anyone when they sent a letter that our check was rejected. We had plenty of funds to cover the full payment. We will NEVER do business with any vendor that uses these guys as their financial provider.
Awful. Their app is horrible. They closed so many branches after taking over SunTrust. Now it's inconvenient to get to a branch. Banked with SunTrust, had zero issues. Seriously thinking of changing banks.
This bank is facilitating theft by not protecting customers' money. I have had my bank info hacked 3 times this year and they are denying my most recent fraud claim for no reason. This bank is full of crooks.
This true story of Truist bank incompetenceis unbelievable. I called the Truist "customer ********************** professional" and relayed that I've been a customer for 30 yrs. and have been happy with the service but I need to close the account as it was used for my recently departed wife's social security.
