I have been banking with Truist (originally Suntrust) for a long time. All my direct deposits goes to this bank for many years. Although there never have been much customer **********************, I didnt mind much until recently when an erroneous draft went to my credit card account that I never ever used instead of my regular checking account (with plenty of cash). I contacted Truist because I lost my credit card back in May. They sent a replacement card without an issue, new card number and all. However, on June 7th, I noticed a charge from a merchant that I had canceled services with appeared on my new credit card statement with the new card number. This should be impossible, considering I have not provided my card information to the merchant, so it seems Truist manually transferred the charge to reflect against my new card without notifying me. While helping my wife, I just tried to make a small cash deposit into my mother in law's checking account using a preprinted deposit slip. The bank refused to accept because I am not on the account. Now I've been doing business with banks for over 60 years and I've never been challenged on making a deposit of any kind much less cash. As I challenged the teller she simply cut off the video feed ending our conversation. I'm happy to say I'll never visit a Truist Bank again.

I opened a checking account during the time they started the $400 promotional offer. I never received the money after waiting 5 months. *** made multiple phone calls, website submissions, in branch visits to be told every time they arent sure what happened and that I clearly qualified, they would reach out to the promotion department and follow up. This is another example of a bank trying to scam you for more money. I have been with truist bank for six years, I have my Social Security check as a direct deposit every month. Ive never been charged a maintenance fee, and in my recent statement they charged me a $12 maintenance fee. I called them which by the way , *** never been able to talk to anyone that can actually understand English, and they said my direct deposit hasnt been deposited within 30 days. This is just the cherry on top of the multiple issues since the merger.I utilized the Truist cash reserve feature and got behind on payments. I paid as much as I could. As we are inflation its hard enough to pay for utility bills AND groceries. I received a loan check in the mail and tried to deposit it. Truist put the check on a 1 week hold, in the same week, they decided to take the ENTIRE past due amount of the cash reserve out of my already negative balance account.AND then charged me 3 overdraft charges. Truly one of the worst organizations I have patronized. The issue I have had with Truist are too many to list but above all: 1. Online banking is harder than ever 2. Customer support is inconsistent (help with issues via phone) 3. Poor overall customer relationship management

*********** My mortgage payment went up $600.00 because they said they estimated my property taxes for the year and my escrow amount was short $4,200.00. Not sure how you estimate it so poorly to cause that amount of increase in my monthly payment but Im faced with possibly needing to sell my house now because of this. Do not do business with this company. First chance I get im going to try and refinance with another bank.
