Absolutely garbage this bank and its system. When they merged with my former bank there didn't seem to be any other alternative for me locally, so I went in with cautious optimism. I'm currently on the phone with them again because they never sent me a replacement debit card when they had all these emails and online banking app notices telling me they know my card is nearing expiration and a new one will be provided. I'm now told that today - the final business day my card is valid and usable - they can't expedite me the car... read more

Worst bank in the world since the merger. Had direct deposit on Saturday, made two Zelle transfers and two ATM withdrawals. Then on Monday, paid bill with debit card. Debit card posted first and other three transactions were charged overdraft. New policy with merger. No recourse, only solution is to find another bank that processes transactions in order of activity. $102 worth of charges and bank wont consider returning. Terrible experience

Rude management, oh yeah and closed my local branch. Now have to drive alot further to another location now. No issues when it was BB&T. Ever since merger i have had issues

Been a member for over 30 years since it was BB&T. I reported fraudulent activity on my account. Usually, they would close out the account and give me new account and a new card. It wasnt my fault. I thought a loan agency was legit. They said we would make a deposit than you send it back to us. When I saw the mobile deposit. The check had my mom name on it who died in 2015. I knew it was fraud so I reported it. The account was under investigation. But my direct deposit checks came into the account because it was too late to ... read more

I have been a customer for over 30 years with Crestar and then Suntrust. I have a fraud charge that they cant get straight. You cant talk to a person who can fix their mistakes. DONT bank with them

Left me stranded in another state without access to my money so I couldnt get a hotel or anything.

Had a mortgage with BB&T, which came with a free safe deposit box that I never used. After Truist took over, they started charging me annually. I can only find one key and they want $175 for the missing one or they won't close the account.

This bank has currently stolen ******* from me! I sent my daughter to the *********** ** location with cash to deposit in my account. They told her we dont take cash from people not on the account but Publix can give you money orders. So she did just that. Came back with the money orders and deposited them. On the bottom of the receipt it says they will hold those funds for 10 days! Why not say that first? She could have mailed me the money orders faster than that. Or sent the money from her own account? But no, I got hung u... read more

Truist drained what little I had in savings to cover my overdrafted account that became that way due to severe illness. They left me a dollar to live off of and I cant get my medicine now. How can I work? How do they have the right to take all your money out n a savings account???? Isnt that stealing???
