Im not gonna me for writing reviews on financial institutions but Truist is the worst. It wasnt much better when it was BB&T but now that its Truist, good luck getting anyone who cares to help. I was recently on a business trip and due to an emergency had to over draft my business account by .24. I then got hit with a $36 over draft fee. By the time I made it home on a Friday and received their written notification on Saturday, they had already hit me with a negative balance fee of $36. So now Im in the hole $72.24. Terrible customer ********************** and violates multiple FDIC laws. Was transitioned from suntrust to truist in early 2022. Never received a new terms and conditions or notification of monthly maintenance fees which Ive been charged for 11 times in the last year despite having 6 accounts with them. Current account type thats being charged is no longer offered for consumers so they dont keep the information relating to fees on their website.

Been a customer 20+ yrs but that ends today. Years of declining customer **********************, consistent fraud, and nothing but inconvenience and inaction by a team of professionals this company jokingly calls customer support. I waited 6 weeks to receive a new credit card (after experiencing fraud...again) only to call the bank, answer the same questions with 6 different people, and be told that my replacement card has yet to even be initiated. With SunTrust, I was happy with everything regarding my account. Then, they became Truist-and if their name is supposed to exemplify True, then theyre lying through their teeth. They charged me TWICE in one day for overdrafts. ONE DAY = $72! Granted, *** had a few issues since losing my job of close to ten years due to Covid but I am working now but took a drastic pay cut. Financed an expensive boat through Suntrust with no issues. Had great service. I sold the boat 7 months ago at which time the debt was paid in full. Truist released the title but didnt sign the lien release. The new owner, the new owners bank, *************** and myself have been trying now for 7 months to get a signed lien release. We have been bounced from person to person, most of which dont speak English, have waited literally hours on hold, and still no release. Customer ********************** is horrible when dealing with the loan department. After I applied, no one contacted me, I had to call several weeks later only to be told that my request was denied.

CriminalI deposited a check for $5000.the money has been withdrawn from the customers account but Truist put a hold on my account for 8 daysthat means they are using the money but denying me access to my money..

I had an auto loan with Truist Bank and sold that vehicle on March 22, 2023. I had an excess of $6,000 from the sale. I have attempted to get my money from Truist Bank but they advised that they can hold the money for 7 business days before they mail my check to me. I was told today that they will mail the check on Monday April 3, 2023. That is longer than 7 business days. They refused to give me the money at a branch office in my area.
