First off, let me start by saying that this is possibly the worst bank Ive ever used. The local branch people are extremely nice and helpful, but let me explain my situation. I have a debilitated father who stated that he wanted to move in to an assisted living facility. I opened and account about 2 weeks ago and had no issues signing in or anything! Then today, my check deposited to the account and now that my money is there, ** locked out of the account! Now, they are saying I need to go to the local branch and show 2 forms of identification to get access to my account and money! Since the change from BB&T to Truist, the bank has gone downhill and I will be changing banks this week. I have banked with this company for over 12 years. I periodically cannot log in on my mobile app, 3 times in the last 8 months fraudulent charges have been attempted on a business account that I never even activated the debit card for. Truist is the worst bank. I have had to *** them in ******** Circuit Court for not allowing a ***** of ******** (***)for my mother who had a stroke. They will not allow me to do her financial business, in accordance with the *** including not allowing me to easily pay her bills, etc. This is against ******** statute and now they have paid an expensive ************** law firm to fight the lawsuit. Worst bank ever. I start with a check that was deposited via mobile app. They mistakingly posted the deposit on my account twice after waiting 10 days too clear it. They then removed the extra deposit they mistakenly did themselves. They then flagged my account for fraud and locked my account. I could not use my account even at the bank to withdraw any funds but they continued to accept funds into my account and not let me access it. I am filing against the entire BRANCH Services!!! ONLINE & IN PERSON!. TRUIST will ONLY wave ONE overdraft FEE EVERY 2 YEARS!!!! I had one waved last year. And this YEAR they held back a ZELLE deposit and charged an OVERDRAFT FEE! The no ALL banking institutions should be CUSTOMER oriented! There needs to be a law in place ESPECIALLY in this economic times against HIGH FEES. The WORST BANK for personal, business, and investments!!!! I have moved all my account from them. They don't have any answers over the phone or in person. They deposit money in the wrong accounts. Oh and the fees!!!! Fees for everything, using your accounts and not using your accounts. They also, dont care to resolve anything so your stuck with whatever bogus fees they want to charge and don't care that you have to spend hours on the phone with them while being transferred to all the departments to retell your story all over... read more

I have never been more frustrated with a bank before. I had set up a recurring monthly charitable donation when I had an account at SunTrust and now that I'm retired, I can no longer afford it. Despite multiple attempts at contacting Customer ********************** online and by phone over the past year, I cannot for the life of me figure out how to cancel the deductions from my account. Pretty bad bank for loans. They made paying off my car loan unnecessarily complicated. Also when I got a notification that my account had been compromised, they told me I couldnt close my account. Generally just very unhelpful. Will do everything I can to avoid them in the future.
