The absolute worst bank I have ever had to deal with for as long as I can remember. Amerisbank sold our mortgage to Truist bank and it has been a complete nightmare to get auto-draft setup. I can easily do this with *************** but Truist seems to have a problem with getting auto-draft setup. If I had my choice, I would have avoided Truist. Truist makes it very difficult to transfer your own money to another bank. They limit how much you can transfer daily and every 30 business days. They make it difficult to make a wire as well. You must show up to bank to make your first wire so if you are not in the area where they have a bank, you are out of luck. The customer ********************** just tells you that is the way it is. Your bank is continually opening accounts in other peoples names without their consent. This is fraud, and its illegal under **************** law. You will be reported to the Better Business Bureau for each incident that this has taken place. We will be forced to take legal action if you do not do something to correct these incidents. We are in contact with an attorney right now to form a civil suit, for you are irresponsibly allowing people to open up fraudulent bank accounts in other peoples names.
A customer who had a loan with ********************** traded in their vehicle and we paid it off at our dealership. Truist mailed the customer the title and we've been trying to get it for 3 months now. Truist denies any wrongdoing and won't help with the situation they created.
Had 2credit cards with them I logged into my account 7 am and paid the payoff amount on that day prior to regular business hours and then payment was delayed 2 days so they could get interest on both accounts also they are so fee driven on my other accounts got a $5.00 fee from withdrawing from my savings to pay off those 2 cards and 1 counter transaction.The people there are great because I had been with BB&T never had so much BS since they were bought by suntrust/truist left my other bank in ************** 25 years ago bec... read more
I became a Truist customer after ********************** bought SunTrust. It has been a nightmare. I have been waiting for a replacement card for over 4months. The rude bank manager gave me a temporary debit card and disabled it after telling me it has no expiration date. However they have not sent the new card yet. The policy changes depending on who you talk to...
The worst experience with banking. They locked my account because I had to verify my identity. Cool, went to the branch and provided my SS card and ID. That wasnt enough, they wanted my lease. So came back with my lease, the teller told me, well I can make a copy but youre still going to have to call and tell them to unlock your account. I already did that and they told me to come to the branch. Im very disappointed because no one has helped with such a simple problem and I have to keep going back and forth. NEVER PAY A LUMP SUM OFF YOUR TRUIST EQUITY ACCOUNT ONLINE IT WILL LIKELY TAKE 93 OR MORE POINTS OFF YOU CREDIT SCORE.I paid a lump sum of $5,000 to go to principle only through my mortgage equity account online. This company allowed someone to fraudulently open not one, not two, but THREE bank accounts in my name. And they opened two of them AFTER I had reported that my identity had been stolen and had my credit frozen. This is a terrible bank. I wouldn't feel safe entrusting them with my lunch, let alone my money.
