I wish I can give this company a zero star rating. Ever since we was transferred over with our mortgage from SunTrust it has been nothing but a nightmare. Hurricane *** came through and did a lot of damage in ********* subsequently a lot of insurance companies went bankrupt and canceled policies. He was without insurance for seven days because of a natural disaster so within that seven days I was able to get coverage through our state very lucky. I think the merger has greatly reduced customer **********************. We have multiple accounts with Truist. The accounts were previously with BB&T. Several years ago the business account h Was hit with multiple fraudulent transactions. BB&T handled the incident beautifully. We have recently been hit again. The Truist bank has no way of monitoring the accounts for unusual activity. I think a payment to Discover ACH of $85,000 should raise an eyebrow. The branch help is useless. My husband and I had a mortgage and HELOC with BB&T prior to the merger (plus other accounts that aren't relevant to this complaint). After becoming Truist they lowered the online payment limit from outside accounts to $1000 per transaction. We made multiple $1000 payments on our HELOC from another bank account not realizing that account was considered non-transactional (so that's on us). Warning - be very careful using Truist's on line bill pay system. You must back out of it & go back to your homepage after every payment entry. Otherwise the payment may not process. (eg **************** card bills.) A message will pop up indicating the bill has been paid but if there's no confirmation number showing - the payment is NOT pending & will NOT process. Also make sure the confirmation number is sequential when paying multiple bills. I had the same confirmation number show for 3 different payments - because the la... read more

I received a $****** cashier's check from the Pentagon ******************** as part of my deceased father's policy. I deposited the check on January 6th but the next day (1/7) when I checked to see if the funds were available there was a message "Funds Availability Delay"(1/17).I called customer **********************, which was nothing more than a boiler room in *****, to complain about the hold. Had fraud on my account and they denied the claim. Truist told me I approved the fraudulent transaction from inside a store 3 hours away from me after I just used my card 5 minutes before the fraudulent transaction at a restaurant. I asked how I could be at both locations apart within 5 minutes of each transaction. Still no response from them except we can t help you. Bank elsewhere they will not stand up for their customers only thieves.

Beware! Our experience with a Truist home equity loan was terrible. The approval process took over two months. The bank did not honor the rate quoted and refused to disclose actual fees before closing. The loan officers were nonresponsive and poorly trained, bordering on incompetent. Take your business somewhere else.

Was a customer for forty years with **********************. ********************** is a nightmare they are the most woke out of **********, I have ever seen. Closed one of my three accounts today and will close the other two soon. Don't walk,run away from Truist total nightmare of a company.

Truist Bank has made money disappear from my bank account twice in the last month. The first time they claimed I had a negative balance of $414. Mind you this was after all transactions cleared the bank, then a week later they claim I had insufficient funds and hit me with 2 $36 overdraft fees, totaling $488. Keep in mind I have a habit of checking my account 2 times a day and had an adequate amount of money in that account that was supposed to carry me over through the next two weeks.
