I opened pre-paid debit card with Truist Bank. I made a cash deposit on the card so that i would not have carry cash while traveling to *******, **. I got to my destination to discover I could not access my money. I called the phone number on the back of the card and was connected to someone ********** who told me I would have to go to a branch for identification verification. I was banking with Suntrust for many years, and since it has become Truist. I have been very disappointed to say the least it has been a consumer nightmare to obtain online pay. the online bank pay does not work me despite several visits to the Branch and telephone calls. They recently charged me 6 overdraft fees on my account. when the first overdraft took place I had money in the account so not sure how u can charge me an overdraft, and then they continue to charge me additional overdraft charges for not paying the first o... read more

Horrible experience I deposited a large bank check in my account on 10-11-22 and now over 30 days later they blocked my account with any written explaination? I reported them to the ********************************* who followed up with me saying they will investigate Truist and I have had to pay my lawyer to *** them to get my money. No wonder they have over **** complaints about them in last 3 years

Cricket ******* is the worst to ever have to deal with. She asks inappropriate questions to determine eligibility for a mortgage loan. She asked my life expectancy pertaining to my SSDI benefits. Not once have I been asked such question with any other bank or lending company. She finds every way to disqualify you for everything except for the product that benefits her the most. In the last three years Ive done everything humanly possible to have my title sent to the ********************. It took me to sell the car, but a new one, increase my payments and switch financial groups in order to make me legal on the roads. I escalated in many many ways but apparently Truist would rather work with another business than folks like myself. Have a auto loan with Truist formerly SunTrust. When it was SunTrust the bank was great. Now is Truist bank is nonsense. Making all payments on time all of the sudden a payment is missing. After years of payments on time. I make payments through *********** Went to them about the matter. They have proof of payment to truist bank. Truist making harassing calls for payment that I clearly sent on time every time. Truist agent had the nerve to ask me for my Chase account number. I got a loan for my new split system through ******* in **. I paid off my loan on Sept. 6th. Service Financial took double the amount I owed out of my account ($ *****). I called and they said they send out a check on Oct. 4th - nearly one month after the payoff. I called on Oct. 16th as I still hadn't received the check. They told me i'd need to wait 30 days in order to reissue a check. On Nov. 4th I called again and they said i'd need to wait 30 business days in order to be reissued a check. Horrible customer **********************. Give you the runaround, VA should not allow this bank to assume any VA loans. I'm stuck with them because BBT was absorbed by them. We are going to refinance our house just so we don't have to deal with Truist.

Nothing like losing your job and having your bank start charging a monthly maintenance fee for not receiving direct deposit. Who doesn't love a bank that kicks you when you're down? The atm by my house doesnt take check deposits either.
