Truist did not honor an advertised checking account bank bonus despite the terms being met. After a CFPB complaint they investigated themselves and found no wrongdoing.

Truist Bank is experiencing serious issues, customer ********************** is poor, responses scripted, holds generated on depsoits with no reason that required a 5 hour fishing expedition. I am told that because I am a new customer that this is normal, I have been banking for more than 40 years and never once had any issues until I made the poor decision to think that Truist would come through on their promises. Daily spending limits. Large deposits are held 7 business days. The branch employees lack compassion or concern. They make you feel helpless with you money while smiling at you. Going to a local credit union so I can spend my money the way I please.

Horrible bank. Everytime I have to deal with them it is more BS. I need my statement that are over 18 months and I have to pay for them! They wanted me to go paperless! I will be transferring my mortage as soon as I can figure out how. I want to be done with this bank for good.

I give ZERO stars to Truist Bank! My Son has been trying to resolve his fraudulent bank account issue since June of this year and has still not had anything resolved. A check was deposited into his account that was not in his name. He did not deposit the check nor did he sign it. This has caused his account to be overdrawn and frozen. He has been on the phone with the fraud department more times than I can count. I liked this bank when it was SunTrust. Ever since it went to Truist I have had nothing but problem after problem. The main issue being overdraft fees. Went to bed last night (Tuesday night) with a positive balance. Woke up this morning (Wednesday morning) with a large negative balance and a notice saying overdraft fees posted. 4 of them posted! How am I supposed to fix a negative balance by end of same day (according to their overdraft coverage plan, which I have) to avoid overdraft fees if I am unaware that there was even ... read more

I only gave them ONE STAR because we HAD to, otherwise I would give them MINUS stars. Truist Bank is THE most terrible bank that one can use. It's disarming to know that BB&T has turned into this "mess", a company you cant even get in contact with via phone number. You are routed to a call center in what sounds like *****, have a hard time understanding the people you are speaking with, and end up waiting for hours on the phone for your call to be "taken" by someone in charge there.
