My wife and I attempted to pay our mortgage via the website on Oct. 1. We have been this for over ten years. I have banked with BB&T (now Truist) for over 5 years. I applied for an emergency ***** from my college in the amount of $2,000 and Truist placed a hold on the account. I have had to wait seven days for the check to clear. I have WAITED SEVEN DAYS. Declined my fraud claim without notifying me, despite multiple Truist representatives reassuring me there would be no problem getting my money back. Complete ********. Dont lie to your customers, and dont fail to notify them that their investigation has been closed.

Horrible service. I have been a customer for over 6 years. I filed a fraud claim on a vendor who should not have charged my card--Truist has merely sided with the vendor. When I've called to talk to them, they pass me from rep to rep, no one addressing the issue, no one caring then they close out the claim. Today I got the vendor to agree to the fact it should not have been charged, and they asked that Truist call them to verify they have closed the claim. Beware if you have your mortgage with them and have any bills in Escrow. We had our ******************** (due in May) and *************** (due in October) in our escrow account. They failed to pay our homeowners and we almost lost coverage - in a coastal area of *******. So, I removed the homeowners from the Escrow, but was told that I cannot remove the flood insurance from escrow - it is mandatory that this go through our mortgage company for some reason. Worst bank ever!!! I wish you had never merged. When it was just BBT I never had any issues. Now I always have a long wait, customer ********************** is horrible, the branch Manager has zero personality, the underwriters are even worse. I had fraudulent activity in one of my checking accounts. I spoke to fraud department and the representative closed the wrong account, causing me to bounce checks and they kept the fraudulent account opened. This bank is terrible. I had to take time off from work and my credit looks bad after a few transactions did not go through.
