My mortgage was just switched to Truist Bank and I just experienced the worst customer ********************** ever. All I want to do is set up online payments. After two days and six people later, I am not able to pay my mortgage online. The mortgage is in my husbands name and the cell phone number is in his business name and if the phone doesnt match the name on the mortgage you cant pay online. I wish I could give less than 1 star to Truist. They're a ****** up industry who has zero respect for their customers. My account was closed by the fraud department due to over **** dollars being deposited to my account. The said amount was a payment from doing an online assistant job. Never once did the fraud department give me any phone call or email saying they suspected suspicious activity. I called them and NO ONE would give me any information as to why it was being closed. THEY ARE THE WORST BANK IN THE ******** PERIOD. I have led customer success for many institutions but haven't come across such a pathetic bank. Their IVR *****... Speech is barely recognizing anything you say. When you call for call center, the waiting period is 1 hour.. The credit card department has no access to statements, They transfer to another department that has access but she can't confirm from the checking account if the payment was made, so she transfers me to the checking account department.. If I could give this bank a .25 star I would! WORST customer ********************** ever! Shuts debt cards off in middle of the night for possible fraud but doesn't contact you to verify it is you. Leaves you stranded without ability to access you money. When calling it takes 30 minutes or more to get a representative on the phone and they only tell you excuses and do not actually assist you. TRUIST ARE CROOKS I HAD A LOC ON A HOME THAT I SOLD THE CLOSING AGENT RECIEVED A PAYOFF AND THREE MONTHS AFTER CLOSING THEY SAY THAT THE LOAN STILL OWES MONEY!!! FROM THE BEGINNING OF THIS LOAN, I HAD PROBLEMS THEY REPORTED THAT I PAID LATE WHICH I NEVER DID PROVED IT TO THEM AND THEY HAD TO FIX MY CREDIT REPORT NEVER IN MY LIFE HAVE I HAD SUCH A PROBLEM WITH A BANK WARNING DONT USE THEM!!!!!!!

Every since the BB&T changed/ merged into Truist, my in person teller experience has been very unsatisfactory at multiple locations. Even though I provide a picture I.D. with my bank card as verification, I am always asked at least 4 additional verification questions as well. I feel very uncomfortable when asked to recite my bank balance out loud in front of other customers. I have been a member since ******************************************** to make a decision to close my account.

Happy to say, I have closed my checking account with Truist !! No more playing Russian roulette with these overdraft charges. They have already stolen over $1,000 from me and I am done!!!

On Setember 30, 2022, I called my local branch at 12:45 p,m. and spoke to a branch member. I found the issue checking on line, that Truist Bank allowed a company to withdraw money via an old cancelled bank card. A card I could no longer use however this company could and did. The bank member said she would have to call "someone" and would keep back with me. Let today be a ****** to read all service agreements. If you make a deposit over $5525 that overage amount is held for 7 days, even though Trusit has received all funds from the deposit in 1 day. In calling Truist no one can explain to me why just that it is bank policy. Forget calling Customer ********************** at this bank you will be on hold forever just to speak to someone in the *********** who can't help.
