Truist bank is a disaster , they are crooks that hold your hard earned money hostage. My son has banked with them for 2 years, opens a new account and deposits a check. Although the funds for the checked have cleared they have placed a 10 day hold on the funds. Weve been given numerous excuses as to way : ranging from fund availability to ensure check clears , to account opening date ,and even to the dollar amount of the check. If you want your money in safe hands but want to access it, DONT BANK with them.

Loathe isnt a strong enough word to describe how I feel after dealing with this bank. Had a BB&T account that became Truist. Now in addition to not being to access my money, I have to deal with the headache of their less than stellar customer **********************. On the phone, the service reps speak gibberish and every representative has a different explanation for a simple question. Why is there a 10 day hold on a $400 check that has cleared the individuals bank. Go to a branch to overhear another customer missing money ... read more

I have 22 credit cards. Truist is by far the worst. They messed up my credit. I had flawless credit until I did business with Truist. Im currently on hold as I write this. So far Ive been on hold for 29 minutes. Warning! Dont use Truist.

I acquired a car loan from Truist for a new car purchase at the end of June 2022. Truist funded my loan in mid-July but was unable to send me any communication including a loan number by the time my first payment was due on 7/31. Realizing that my due date was approaching, I contacted my dealership who intervened on my behalf and tried to send my first payment. This has got to be the worst bank I've ever used! They hold up your money when you deposit a large they hold it against the money you have in your bank....I've never had a bank tie my money up like this! Absolutely the worst bank ever!

Calling the automatic # to check your Balance and for Customer ********************** is very poor , slow takes forever to find out what your trying to. Called this morning took about 5-6 minutes to check my bank balance. Needs work on its system really bad. Other than that Truist team always helps with questions you may have.

Truist has consistently lied to me and keeps telljng me My money will be put back in my acct after they mistakenly didnt put a stop payment on 1 of 2 stop payments I paid $ ***** for then after letting payment go thru they charged me $37.00 NSF fee for their mistake. I have been waiting since Sept 6 for my money I am 63 and on Social Security disability and now have no money for food or rent
