Truist bank needs to educate their tellers. I talked to someone on the phone about my car payments. She said the bank could take them from my account. When I got to the bank to set up withdrawal payments, the teller said it couldn't be done, although it could. Another teller educated her on the process and it took her over 1/2 hour to accomplish the task. Very frustrating.
Like others have said, they put a hold on your funds when you make a deposit. Customer ********************** is a nightmare (currently on hold for over an hour while they look into why there is a hold on my 2 paychecks). Its scary to think you dont have access to your paychecks once deposited. This is my second major issue Ive had with this bank in the past month.
Truist bank is absolutely the worst, do not bank with them. The one in *********** is the I dealt with and they sat and called my mom a liar and then said they didn't have ***** in their bank. They are a joke.

Truist Bank is the worst bank I've ever dealt with. First, the representative at the branch had the nerve to tell me to treat him with respect, when all I did was be "terse" with him. This is the best example of what a financial institution should NOT be! They ripped us off by delaying a payoff of a loan (they had our money but it sat there in no mans land for two weeks) - thus causing us to incur daily interest fees. Most of their phone staff can barely speak English and do not provide complete information. Do NOT go here for any reason. I promise you will regret it. Poor customer **********************, inadequately trained staff and overall bad business.
Phone service is inadequate never knows future direct deposits always says you do not have any even when your money will go in an hour later they really need to get that fixed and I have been with you since 2010 and as long as it was BB&T when the third fell on Sunday or Monday I always received my phones the Friday before now I have to wait till Saturday I hate that because things I need to do are closed on Saturdays for years I always could count on having my money there on Friday but not now I have to wait don't like that... read more
Truist is the worst !! I financed a car through them. Near the end of contract I bought a new car and the dealership paid them off. However, they still deducted a payment, leaving me in the red with my bank account I waited 2 weeks for a refund on the overpayment. They finally cancelled check and said a new one was on the way. Very next day, the check arrived. I called them. They said " you are all set. You can cash it". Wrong! I cashed it and checked bounced, leaving me with a $100 plus negative checking account balance..
