Truist can hold funds you deposit for 7 days with no explanation. My son deposited $5000 - a compensation check from our company. The funds were held on an "administrative hold". I could see that the check had cleared from out business bank, **** of America. I spent two days trying to get someone to assist me, but there were a lot of unanswered calls and messages at the North Hills Branch. STRONGLY do not recommend Truist. I moved from ******* to ********* & in order to do anything, I have to go into a branch. Name change- nope, even if notarized. Wire transfer- nope, have to go into a branch. Cashier's check- obviously not because you have to go in person. Was on hold with a representative to figure out how to be able to do anything & was told to drive 10 hours to *******. I can't close the account either without going in person. I had no issues prior when the company was SunTrust.
I'm taking my money out of truist Bank. The staff at *******/******* are terrible. Every time I've walked in there they were rude and something is always wrong that they cannot help me with. They don't even seem to want to help. I can find a better bank; and I will.Goodbye, truist! More like Fakest!
I have had fraud on my account. Been tryimg to close my account one of many i have. Have got nothing but issues from the branch. Would love to get this over with. Seems like no one cares. About to pull my money and get a new bank
Car loan? Run do not walk from Truist. Suntrust loans were taken over by Truist. Paid off, it is now over 2 months and no title. Why? After 7 phone calls, Truist continued to send the title to the wrong state, wrong address, and just gave up. Was told I have to go to the *** (in another state) to get a copy, I guess at my own expense. Many cars, many loans paid off, but Truist is the absolute worst. The reps (and managers) I have talked with evidently have no clue what they are doing. Avaoid.
The worst bank! Everything is a problem, everything you want to do with your account and money requires authorization, and waiting, it was a nightmare!
I am the unfortunate victim of having a mortgage sold to Truist. I did not think a company could exist with such a universal level of incompetence. They take over the mortgage and instantly jack the payment up $200, despite several advance letters assuring that wont happen. 2 days, 3 hours of phone time and 9 agents later and zero explanation. **** characters are not nearly enough to sum up every terrible thing about this institution. AWFUL. I opened an account online on August 26th, a Friday. Had planned to fund the accounts that following Monday, August 29th. Attempt to log into the Truist app and my account is locked and I need to call them? Okay. I call and apparently my account was locked due to fraudulent activity. How does this happen with an account that's empty and has only been open for 3 days?? They tell me I need to go into a branch and show my license to get it unlocked. Okay. Truist allows anyone to open an account online. Someone fraudently opened three accounts in my name in July. I tried to get hold of someone to help me for weeks. I was transferred to wrong departments, disconnected, etc. The customer ********************** reps do not understand English. Finally, last week I spoke to their Fraud **** who told me they were three weeks behind processing fraudulent account paperwork. I wonder why. My bank requires two picture IDs and you have to come into their office. Truist Bank is a big joke... read more
