I am going through a particularly nasty divorce and my ex transferred $1,000 out of our frozen Truist joint account the evening before what was supposed to be our final hearing. We have banked with This institution - now Truist since ****-never a problem Until This recent acquisition-we have had our line of credit frozen for no reason - said there was a late payment although it is directly drafted - Truist took over Suntrust in January and a glitch in this transfer seemed to coincide with the late payment - have had this LOC since **** and zero issues- have had 3 overdraft charges to our account that were not correct and the bank had to refund - waited 2 hours at the *********** ** branch to have an... read more

I stopped a cheque with Truist back in Jan 2022 and paid $35 due to the fact , the pool company lied to us with regards to their business licences. They actually had no licence at all. After 6 months the date on the cheque was modified to a date that does not EVEN exists. Feb 29, 2022.. The cashier at the bank first and foremost primary job is to make sure the date is good and this date doesnt even exist in calendar year of 2022 , 2023 except leap year . Our mortgage was sold to this bank 2 months ago. The website WILL NOT allow me to make a monthly mortgage payment to my account. The first month is maybe understandable as new to the bank. I had to call and make first payment over the phone. Second month doing this now...all over again......tried to simply make a mortgage payment on the website and after entering ALL the information needed it repeatedly says "something is not quite right". Truist cannot be trusted and screwed me on my variable *****. Last year we were approved under BB&T for a ***** for house improvements. It opened at a low variable starting rate, signed the paperwork, the bank said it's locked in.This was at the onset of the BB&T/Suntrust merge, so we were told copies of the loan paperwork would be slightly delayed and mailed to us once the new Truist system goes up and running in early 2022. The most lousy bank I have ever had to deal with. Short of it had a car loan from SunTrust never an issue. Truist took over the loan for the last 18 months. I tried to pay off the loan and went to my reoccurring payment to pay full amount. The online banking kicked me out for too much time no activity after paying the balance. About two weeks later I get a notice stating I am being charged 25 $ fee for account not found. I call and they didn't tell me that I had to cancel the reoccurring payment and then set up a onetime pay... read more
The worst financial institution I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. I have had nothing but problems with them. I went to pay off my auto loan with Truist and they took the payoff out of my account twice, overdrawing my account by tens of thousands of dollars and freezing up every single dollar I had to my name for 3 business days. Impossible to do online payments. Was told with using their credit card and paying in full each month you would recieve 10 % reward credited to checking account. This is not true. They will only issue in ***** payments and you have to repeatedly call to even recieve that Have never received 10% of any payment
