Im very unhappy with this shady bank. They closed a new checking account for absolutely no reason causing me to be ineligible for a promotional offer that was the ONLY real reason I was opening an account in the first place. I have a car loan that started with BB&T, but was transferred to Truist with the merger and figured it would be a bonus to pay the loan from the same app if I got the checking account and Im moving to a state with a local branch (unlike my current location), so it should have been a win-win-win situation... read more

*********** has no customer ********************** half the time you cannot even understand or get somebody who speaks English I encourage everybody to find a new bank the things they were doing well honestly probably lead to lawsuits they are illegally holding money and not giving access to your accounts after funds have already been taken from ************* account keeping the money in limbo encourage everybody to reach out to state or local banking authorities to report them switch banks immediately save yourself the hass... read more

Trying to get "Bill pay" fixed for almost 2 months! CONSTANT ROUND AND ROUND AND ROUND. NO ONE KNOWS ANYTHING! Call every day, 2 hours, telling same story over and over, no answers no fixes!!!

Truist is completely a trash bank. Dont do business with them at all. I moved states and had to have my title sent to the new state. I filled out the form and even wrote the address of where they had to send it to. They sent it to the opposite side of the country. Every time I call i get a different answer. Incompetent and just down right a joke of a bank. Its been 7 months of this and now they let someone put there name on the title on top of it without my permission. This bank has the worst customer **********************, called three different branches all didn't even answer the phone but a third world country is there customer ********************** agents and records your call, penna. is a two party consent state,( ACT 18 c.s. # ****).They don't even answer the phones they use a machine ,it says to give them your S.S.# - on a recorded line to a third party country they must think people are just plain stupid ? I was scammed by a fake job. Reported it to truist and then deposited my paycheck into my **** of America account. I zelled $360 to truist from my other account so I could pay my car loan that I have with Truist. After "review" they verified the fraudulent activity that I had reported. Then they proceeded to close my checking account and are holding my zelle transfer for 30 days. Thanks Truist I don't know how I am going to eat or have gas in my car for 2 weeks! Or how I'm going to make my CAR PAYMENT TO YOU!!!!

I would also give Truist a 0 if I could. They reversed out 2021 credit card payments on March 28, 2022 and have frozen a market market account. There is no explanation or justification. I presume that if I were to pay the $2,000+ I do not owe (because the payments were previously made) that Truist would unfreeze the money market so I could withdraw the $4,600 balance. I have called 10+ times, usually being transferred around or told someone would research, visited a branch multiple times so they would file a dispute for me, ... read more

When it was SunTrust I never had a overdraft problem, because when I used my card the money showed on the account and I new I was safe. Now that they merged with BB&T they took up their way of banking and it seems like I'm always getting hits on overdraft. It's ridiculous, and I'm about to change banks. I've been with them for 10 years plus and ever since the merger the overdraft is just crazy.

This bank is hard to deal with. Wouldn't take payments online. They told me to have the other party that bought my truck send the full amount to them then denied the check and didn't tell anyone. After weeks of calling and just being told to call back later I was told the check was denied then tells me they will reissue the check. It has been 10 days and still can get any info as to what's going on. I have had to make 2 unnecessary payments because of their mistakes and I'm not getting any closer to this being resolved.
