In my business, I deal with every local and major bank. BB&T had great customer ********************** and I recommended BB&T to my clients. Once BB&T merged with SunTrust and become Truist, they became the bank with the worst customer ********************** of any bank I deal with. I have banked with Suntrust for over 8 years and had a wonderful experience. Everything was done in a timely manner, customer ********************** was very helpful, and the branch managers/tellers were very professional and helpful. Truist is the absolute opposite of what Suntrust was. The customer ********************** is slow to solve anything or even answer the phone. ************* took over my suntrust mortgage (which despite no love for them was ok) didn't transfer half of the information to didn't contact me by phone email or text when they didn't pay my homeowners insurance which the couldn't connect from the previous bank correctly either. Only reason I found out was the insurance company went out of their way to call my brokerage who relayed the message to me. Had my mortgage with this bank until I sold my property back in January. Today is August 23 and found out the account was not closed when the sell was finalized, but also I was penalized because they decided to close it. Called to pay the fees, but the woman didn't want me to write a check, even though it clearly states in that letter that checks are an acceptable form of payment. I wish I could give a negative score. WOW is all I have to say-Truist is garbage. I was a Suntrust customer for years but since the merger, this is quite possibly the worst bank I have encountered. I was also told by a CS rep that management could care less about losing customers and all of these complaints. Been a customer at bb&t for 5 years plus and on the 16th of August 2022 my account was closed right after my employer attempted to deposit my paycheck, on the 22nd of August I received a letter that was mail out on the 18th of August that my account was closed out, my employer then contacted truist on the 20th of August to see if my check was sent to my closed account, as of the 23th of August which is today, truist has still not replied to my employer on whether or not my paycheck was sent to my closed account, which is jus... read more

Truist bank is the worst bank that I have ever had to deal with.Do not bank with them!!We have been with them, since we started with Suntrust bank. I have had large deposit posted, and small deposits posted, for various amounts.Since trust took over for suntrust I have had holds placed on 2 different deposits.My acct has never been over drawn, never any items returned from any businesses that have written us checks Why they choose to randomly place hold on checks, I dont get it, it has never been done in the past, just check... read more

Well! we have been with BB&T for over 25 years. Then the merger occurred. The bank customer ********************** plummeted ever since. We found out today while making a simple deposit. We placed cash and a deposit slip in the canister for deposit. The teller call back over the loud speaker "how much money is this?", and she repeated the question.
