Worst bank to get a house financed thru .we went thru 9 months and **** dollars later of them jerking us around and putting off our closing 5 times which cost us our homeowners policy because they never came thru with our loan.This was totally Truist we had the finances and money to close what a joke DO NOT GO THRU THEM FOR ANYTHING

I use to bank with SunTrust and since it was transitioned over to TRUIST it has been a terrible experience. I have had my account hacked 3 times! When you call they outsource to another country and it is very difficult to understand the people you are speaking with. But more importantly they are UNABLE to assist in any way. They just read from the transcripts they have and never offer a solution. When you ask to speak to a supervisor they just leave you on hold endlessly. WORST BANK EVER!!!

Since BB&T became Truist they have become garbage. I have consistently complained of how super long it takes to get a deposit made at various branches here in *****, **. I have tried to deposit via drive by and via going in person inside the bank. I have complained to officers of the bank and bank managers. Zero is done. they consistenly do not have enough tellers. They have on a Friday afternoon 2 or sometimes only 3 tellers taking care of the inside desk and also, at the same time of the Drive by window. What the h*** is t... read more

I just spent 30 minutes in the ****************** intending to open an account. No one acknowledged my existence and my patience ran out. A simple "hello" or the courtesy of an indication of the wait time should have been the simple customer **********************. There are too many other banks for me to do business with.

Truist has taken Suntrust to the toilet. Branch team is still friendly and tries to help, but they have no authority. Customer ********************** line is horrible. STAY AWAY

Firstly, save your cut and pasted response Truist;) ********* has been awful in bold caps since my sister passed and I am the executor of the estate. Countless issues too numerous to mention including holding car titles hostage for going on 28 days after payoffs. Endless wait times from CS on the phone, incompetently trained employees at branches who are all stressed from the bafflingly bumbled merger, and lack of knowing what the corporate wants. Terrible customer **********************! Just look at the exact same response in all the complaints here. Asked me to validate a charge, I confirm yet they still froze my card. Gas and groceries declined, hour on the phone and now told it will take another hour to release hold and to just use a different form of payment. This is just one of many incidents. Sure do miss Suntrust.

I've been with Suntrust for years before the merger. Now all of a sudden there are reports of fraudulent activity across NUMEROUS customer accounts and ********************** isn't doing anything about it. It's obvious that since the merger, their security has been compromised and these scam organizations are taking advantage if it and Truist's customers are who suffer. As a bank, is it not your job to carry the customer's best interest? I have been dealing with this fraudulent activity on my account since June and it's the ... read more

If I could leave them zero stars I would. I delt w ****** at the truist bank on *********** in ******** ** and it was the worst bank teller experience I have ever had she was very rude and made me feel very uncomfortable. I have both a personal and business account and they have froze my account 2 times in the past 2 months for fraud. The most recent was due to a check from fidelity which is my 401k and when it was deposited they flagged it for fraud and froze my account including the funds i already had in the account for 9... read more
