Verified Renter Room is nice, the in unit washer dryer is a huge plus and bathroom while small, is cozy and has enough space for everything I need. The internet is also really fast, I hooked up my xbox to ethernet through my router and I get around 700 mbps. Location is a bit far but if you are an engineering student you will love it here since it is a 3 min walk to the engineering quad.
Verified Renter Living with smile has been super easy. Move in was very smooth and the staff are super willing to help. The first day I moved in the AC was broken and pushing out hot air. I went to the main office and expressed my concerns about the unbearable heat in the unit. That day maintenance came out and installed a temporary AC until it got fixed. Super thoughtful and caring!

Verified Renter Pretty good thus far, rewards are good, but the maintenance on my building is seriously lacking! When it rained for the first time this semester, the roof leaked buckets of water. And I am a little suspicious that they are going to charge us for damage when we leave after a year since we received the place in less than perfect condition. But the people are nice, and the free fitness center is awesome.
Verified Renter I live at 506 w elm. Which is definitely one of their cheaper options. It really really shows in the fit and finish of the space. But like for what I’m paying it’s nice to have like laundry on site and air conditioning and stuff.
Verified Renter Decent location and apartment, but neighbors are a bit loud and maintenance leaves something to be desired. That being said, overall a decent experience so far.
Verified Renter We moved into a clean apartment which was awesome! Smile has been able to answer all of our questions in a timely matter. The key access in order to move in was a little difficult because we wanted to move in at 8 a.m. but did not receive our code until 12 pm. That was frustrating. Otherwise, we have found minor renovation issues from the new builds but nothing major or an inconvenience.
Verified Renter So far my experience in a Smile apartment has been good. The only thing bothering me is that there is barely any space to keep my stuff in storage, and a huge cinder block in my closet takes up almost the entire area.
