I hate this place... twice I've been here for a mammogram that my doctor ordered. First time I came here, I got my insurance verified, checked in, all gown up just to tell me they cannot do my mammogram cuz they need my recent one reviewed. I told them to call my doctor cuz it doesn't make sense why no one told me to bring anything. The lead technician refused to call the doctors office because she said it will be too late... now this was just at 2pm. Stay away from Solis Mammography Plano. My doctor gave a work order for a screening (covered benefit) and then a diagnostic if needed. I went to Solis and they said you can only have one done only so I said I would like to know why I feel an ache. So they picked diagnostic. Found out my doctor set up for screening first and to proceed for diagnostic later if needed. Well that's $800 out of pocket and not covered under benefit. Scam of a lifetime right here folks if I have ever experienced.

I will not go back to Solis Mammography. I was told due to dense breast tissue that I needed a diagnostic mammogram and possibly an ultrasound. The only appointment I could get for the diagnostic was on the Monday before Thanksgiving. I arrived 15 minutes before my appointment, which was at their request. The intake person argued with me on the how I would pay, which differed completely from what I was told on the phone when making the appointment. I had a diagnostic mammogram scheduled. Was told it would be over 1000 out of pocket for this dt it needing to be done at a hospital. Separate charges for mammo/ultra sound and MD to read results. PLEASE don't be fooled by this. If I was not a nurse and didn't do research and have some knowledge of billing I may have fell for this. I found my own source who only charged my copay saving me over $1000 dollars and got results same day. No need to wait for some one to read results. I used Eves breast center in Southlake. At all costs, I would stay away from Solis. They are owned by private equity and I feel like they see good benefits and look for problems. They made me do an MRI after 2 other test did not confirm breast cancer or lumps. The MRI was inconclusive and now they turned me down for my annual well women's check. They want more money to perform another mammogram that is higher resolution. That should have been their 2nd test last year. Cold and unfriendly waiting area, cold and unfriendly staff. Registration was a nightmare. Cancel exam before going back. PSA choose another facility.
Do not go to this place if you didn't know you have to lie to them in order to just get a screening instead of a diagnostic mammogram (if you didn't know, it cost more money) They actually have the "policy" they're to forced us to do a diagnostic mammogram, instead of a screening mammogram if you experience pain that was not even concerned by your own physician.
