I will not go back to Solis Mammography. I was told due to dense breast tissue that I needed a diagnostic mammogram and possibly an ultrasound. The only appointment I could get for the diagnostic was on the Monday before Thanksgiving. I arrived 15 minutes before my appointment, which was at their request. I had a diagnostic mammogram scheduled. Was told it would be over 1000 out of pocket for this dt it needing to be done at a hospital. Separate charges for mammo/ultra sound and MD to read results. PLEASE don't be fooled by this. If I was not a nurse and didn't do research and have some knowledge of billing I may have fell for this. At all costs, I would stay away from Solis. They are owned by private equity and I feel like they see good benefits and look for problems. They made me do an MRI after 2 other test did not confirm breast cancer or lumps. The MRI was inconclusive and now they turned me down for my annual well women's check. They want more money to perform another mammogram that is higher resolution. That should have been their 2nd test last year. Cold and unfriendly waiting area, cold and unfriendly staff. Registration was a nightmare. Cancel exam before going back. PSA choose another facility.
Do not go to this place if you didn't know you have to lie to them in order to just get a screening instead of a diagnostic mammogram (if you didn't know, it cost more money) They actually have the "policy" they're to forced us to do a diagnostic mammogram, instead of a screening mammogram if you experience pain that was not even concerned by your own physician. First, they booked me at one location but sent me to the wrong location. After the unnecessary tour of Dallas Metro, I get to the location where my appointment was booked and the technician wants to argue about what procedure I am there for. Solis has never been worth the trouble for me. I have dense tissue, so simple screening is not sufficient according to experts. I am telling my doctors, anyplace but Solis. ***robbers***march 2024 stay away from this business! they are keeping patients hard earned money. the billing dept here in dallas supposedly has "system issues" so there's a voicemail msg telling me to call back corporate office tells me the system has been down for 2 months. so, the customer service rep supposedly gives a message to "leadership" and says i'll get a call within 24 hours this is legally and ethically wrong if you have a concern, please call 855-252-7606 or email compliance@solismammo.com.
After waiting 35 minutes just to check in, the check in girl had an attitude when I asked why things were running so late. All she needed to say was "we apologize for the delay". I was already stressed at having to have a diagnostic mammogram. Instead she said "would you like to cancel your appointment"? When handed a bill for $1,400 there was no explanation as to why the cost was so high. Yet again she said "would you like to cancel your appointment?". This place is great at care and comfort. Insurance estimates and billing are another story. I don't believe they even call the insurance company. I think they just guess. For 2 procedures they overcharged my insurance/FSA $660+!!! Then they had the audacity to send me a bill with the amount they owed me and a statement that included the line "pay upon receipt".
