First, they booked me at one location but sent me to the wrong location. After the unnecessary tour of Dallas Metro, I get to the location where my appointment was booked and the technician wants to argue about what procedure I am there for. Solis has never been worth the trouble for me. I have dense tissue, so simple screening is not sufficient according to experts. I am telling my doctors, anyplace but Solis. ***robbers***march 2024 stay away from this business! they are keeping patients hard earned money. the billing dept here in dallas supposedly has "system issues" so there's a voicemail msg telling me to call back corporate office tells me the system has been down for 2 months. so, the customer service rep supposedly gives a message to "leadership" and says i'll get a call within 24 hours this is legally and ethically wrong if you have a concern, please call 855-252-7606 or email compliance@solismammo.com.
After waiting 35 minutes just to check in, the check in girl had an attitude when I asked why things were running so late. All she needed to say was "we apologize for the delay". I was already stressed at having to have a diagnostic mammogram. Instead she said "would you like to cancel your appointment"? When handed a bill for $1,400 there was no explanation as to why the cost was so high. Yet again she said "would you like to cancel your appointment?". This place is great at care and comfort. Insurance estimates and billing are another story. I don't believe they even call the insurance company. I think they just guess. For 2 procedures they overcharged my insurance/FSA $660+!!! Then they had the audacity to send me a bill with the amount they owed me and a statement that included the line "pay upon receipt". I have been coming to this location for a mammogram for about 20 years. They recently have Medical City of Plano doing their billing and everything is messed up. The problem is that Solis doesn't care and the young lady I just spoke to named Andrea was the icing on the cake. She proceeded to let me know that my window for filing a complaint had expired and thanked me when I said I wouldn't be returning. Wow!
My technician was Diane or Diana. Worst experience I have ever had at any health care facility. She pushed, shoved, manhandled me in the worst way possible. Many times I cried out " I'm in pain, I'm in pain" she ignored me completely and was extremely rude to me. At the end, I was sure I would be left with bruises on my breasts, I told her that I never had that much pain in the previous mammograms, she angrily and forcefully said "well I don't know what you want from me, but I barely compressed". The people were nice. The technician was a little odd. I had a nice chat with the person at the front desk who took down all my insurance info. My insurance covers mammograms fully -- no payment is required, so I was surprised when I got a bill for 450 dollars two months after my mammogram. The bill said I didn't use insurance to pay, so I submitted my insurance info again. Five weeks later I received another bill -- about 150 dollars lower than the first one, but still not 0 dollars. I asked upfront for them to call and pre-authorize my insurance to let me know how much my mammogram screening would be. I was told my insurance covered the entire thing. 2 weeks later I got a bill for $334.12. I would not have chosen to get my screening done there if I had been told correctly. Very disappointed in this place and will not be going back.
Beware! I called Solis to make an appointment for a needle biopsy and was told "needle biopsies are performed at the central location in Plano". Givi g me me no choice . I normally go to the Frisco location for bone density and mammograms. I was given my expected charges at sign in and biopsy was performed . Then when I received my bill , not only did I received the expected bill from Solis , I received a 2K additional bill from Medical City because they are considered "In house".
