I arrived at the emergency room around 11 and i'm still here at 3:25. It might be an American healthcare system thing vs. their actual fault. Also not sure if this is nor or if they were just swamped today but if you can avoid this hospital please do. And that's sad that we have to think about which hospital to go to as we are in pain because they move so slow!

The ER nurse practitioner who was assigned to me was impolite and seemed as if he didn't care about my experience as a patient or about my well being. I came in with chest pain/ pressure and shortness of breath. However, I did not even see a clinician until he was ready to discharge me home. He declined to listen to my lung sounds or heart sounds and did not ask me any questions about my symptoms. Before discharging me, I had to specifically ask him to listen to my lungs and he had to go back to his desk to grab his stet... read more

Surgery went well, but I had a very mean nurse and the pharmacy failed to dispense my mood stabilizer until I had an emotional crash. Then it was "Oops, sorry." Awful experience.

Girl in extreme pain came in at 12:45am vitals weren't taken till 1:26pm. Shes the only one throwing up and shaking from pain in the lobby stating that its 10/10 Pain . I don't recommend this place due to understaffed issues.

Edit: it has now been 3 hours. Awful customer service. I have been here for 2 hours for severe stomach pain and they have not taken me back at all. I'm in excruciating pain and the front desk people are so fucking rude.

Currently over a 5 hour wait just to be taken from the waiting room the the emergency room to wait some more to be triaged. You're forced to wait in the waiting room breathing in what everyone is there for beyond physical injuries. This is rediculas for a hospital to be incapable of treating people better than this.

They would not know customer service if you handed them the definition of the word. A young woman who was A receptionist desk not only rolled her eyes at me threatened me with security and told me as he needs to talk to me like a preschooler Because she could not put on a glove and look at the chart for that date of birth. Paramount incompetence and laziness. Take your child elsewhere.

My recent visit at St. David's North Austin ED was, by far, the worst, most dangerously careless, disorganized and shockingly unprofessional hospital experience of my 39-year-old-life (between myself, my parents, my husband, my three kids, etc, my hospital exposure over the years has been plentiful) . I was brought in via ambulance with EMTs as an 8-month-pregnant woman with Covid having very severe difficulty breathing, and I was shocked at how poor treatment was, how absent and/or unprofessional communication was, and ho... read more

Worst experience I've ever had at a hospital! Awful, awful!!!! Ended up in the ER and was there for 11 hours, admitted to the hospital technically but there was no bed available for me. In the meantime, in the first few hours I was there, I had excruciating pain that was not managed. When I asked for additional pain medicine, the RN was going to check with the doctor but never came back. I saw the doctor for a total of maybe 45 seconds between two times. Terrible staffing issues, they are clearly overworked, and it's really ... read more
