If i could give a zero I would. My system has gone down twice in the last 10 months. I was never advised that it is my responsibility to monitor my system from across the country. I am a snowbird. Went to solar to be a responsible consumer and protector of the environment. Since Kilowatt Systems became Spruce there has been nothing but headaches. No help with high utility bills because of equipment failure. No refund of monthly fees for a year when the production guarantee numbers are reviewed. What a total scam. I will be c... read more

I have had so many issues with Spruce Power. But the latest is they charged me an extra $1 for paper statement delivery with NO notice. I chatted with them and they claim they have sent a warning about this via our delivery preference (which mine was paper). They also claim they sent an email as well. I received neither. I looked at every statement I got from Spruce Power and they didn't say a single time that they were going to start charging for paper delivery. Spruce Power has not provided services for money they have collected from us. Upon accepting an offer on our home at **** ********** ** ** ****** ** in the month of October, we were asked by our buyer for a print out of the production . Our lease states that Spruce Power is responsible for keeping the system in good working order. When we requested this information, we were informed that our system wasn't working and hadn't been working for more than a year. Spruce Power purchased/acquired my solar company and what a joke. In doing a title research, there is ONE employee with a Mail Drop in San Francisco (even though they are billing me from Texas). The telephone line is simply a hired answering service who have zero information and while they tell you someone will call you back, it never happens. Billing: monthly bill has a “bill date” of the first of the month, normally arrives on the 25th, 26th of the month and is due to them on the first of the next month. Of course it can’t... read more

My panels have been non-functional for four months. Spruce's customer service line has been hacked and you get a room full of people trying to give you a Walmart gift card and then they hang up on you. I have blocked my lease payments, so I guess they will call me? Don't know what else to do.

My solar unit has been down since May 2023 and they have not come out to fix my solar panel unit and it is costing me hundreds of dollars more in energy bills. Every time I call they tell me that my work order is pending and they are waiting to hear back from the contractor, Solar x. I'm waiting two months later for them to come out and replace my unit. In the meantime I may never incur the money I lost from my solar panels being inoperable.

System has been underpowered for 5 years if not longer . ****can only go back 5 years . Took months to get a service tech to troubleshoot then took months before his notes and recomenations to get to the assessment team at spruce then taking months of calling spruce to get a update of when they plan on coming to my residence to fix the issue . Just to find out they might be sending another tech to troubleshoot it again to get a second opinion . And it’s very clear they don’t want the customer to monitor there own system I’ve... read more

Service sucks to put it midley. Our solar has be out since 10/102023. No production but online showing no production. Spruce is unwilling to send a tech out to fix the problem. Smoothing about having to wait 14 days to see if it comes back on line. What crap, nowhere is our lease is there a mention of 14 days before repairs can be started. I won't even bother to mention that they have screwed up our billing more than once.

I have contacted spruce numerous times. No response no bills sent to me. I finally after years I had with this company they send me an email that I owe them money. This company is terrible. I have called emailed and still no bill or statement.
