We engaged TaxRise, **** to help resolve an existing *** tax issue. At the time we contacted them, we already had an active IRS installment agreement of $302 per month, which was current and in good standing. During the onboarding process, TaxRise aggressively pressured us to pay approximately $4,000 upfront, offering credit card payment or full payment. It is the biggest scam in tax resolution history. They took $15,000 for me so that I could get a lien on my passport not file taxes in 2024 leaving me with a huge penalty. they do not call you back, and they dont call you to give you an update. I am highly disappointed with my experience using TaxRise and I am now out $500 that I was told would be applied to my back taxes that were due. The company has refused to acknowledge that this was mentioned on the initial recording. I was also told that I was not being granted a refund because I was outside of the cancellation window. Tax rise is a fraud . Yes I was promised the world . Only to be defrauded . Promised fast expedient service . No call backs with any info . Only the REHEARSED RESPONSES. 1 year and not completed, high fees upfront with zero accountability or communication. Constantly confused on what was going on with the case, and still having issues. Better off hiring a Local ***.

Was never told the full actual price. Made 2 payments to cover the quoted $330 price only to then be told I owed $1600+ which they submitted to mercury financial for a payment plan and charged me a first payment of $273. Mercury notified me they did not approve my application. I asked for a refund of all funds paid due to their false advertising by failing to reveal the full price. Ive contacted them multiple times requesting my refund to no avail.
This company took over ******** from me and disappeared. I dont even thing the gentleman that set this up for me works for them any longer.
