This company has high ratings from the BBB. So, I contacted them to help negotiate away some tax penalties so I could pay off my tax debt. I had already set up an installment plan with the *** and had been paying more than the monthly required for 5+ years. Most of the overpayment, however, was going towards penalties. I felt some penalties could be reduced once the *** noted that I had been consistently overpaying in a strong effort to pay off the debt. Tax Rise agreed. Horrible service. They were unable to keep several appointments, after I had paid upfront and submitted sensitive financial information, even after multiple email and text requests for me to confirm, which I did, of course. I recommend avoiding this service completely!!!
Tax rise has been bugging me for months? assuring me that all my tax problems will be cleared up, but instead, they signed me up for a loan that I had no knowledge of, they told me one fee, then took double payments from my account. Now they are literally harassing me non stop about a supposed loan I took out for me to pay it back. They claim I owe this money , however I never agreed to this. I have never even seen this money that they say I owe. Do not be like me, and accept what they tell u. U can do better than them.
I paid for taxrise to investigate my taxes with the understanding that the money paid would go towards resolving my taxes. They told me I owed too little and would need to talk to the *** myself. I could have told them that myself. That was definitely a waste of time and money. I want my $99 back.
I am still waiting on the resolution stage to begin, seems like this is taking a very long time! Hopefully, the end result will be worth the investment! The jury is still out!
