I hired Tax Rise in April 2021 - to date, they have not been able to do anything for me. I paid for them to do my 2021 Tax Returns and submitted documents to them as requested. They finally completed my 2021 Tax Returns in May of 2023. They do not follow through with their promises. They should not have any stars. They promise to help you but just take your money and once you pay them off they do nothing for you. Tax Rise took a $10,000 payment after assessing my situation to resolve a $82,000 tax debt from a resulting divorce. They touted substantial settlement savings but were not able to reduce citing I made too much money despite knowing my income BEFORE I financed the loan to retain them. I am now on the hook for all back taxes, plus interest accrued during the waiting period, plus the loan financed to retain them and now the *** just put a lien on my home! After all this wasted time I finally figured out this company is an orchestrated scam from sales pitch to disappointing result! They entice you with wonderfully supportive and friendly sales strokes, dangling the offer in compromise or some other form of "relief" but their process is likely to take you on a whirlwind of incompetence for years while your penalties add up. This company has completely ignored every attempt I have had to contact them or to have someone contact me back about canceling my account with them. They try to hurry you into securing a credit card number so they can immediately draw from your account and when you want to cancel they do not respond to your cancellation and continue to withdraw from your bank account. I hired Taxrise to file an amended 2018 tax return. After speaking to ****** we decided to try and reduce my tax debt, at that time my debt was just over $8000. They put a hold on collection and then it took nearly two years to get the ammanded return filed. My tax debt steadily climbed, but they still said that had everything under control. I paid them $500 service fee and $2500 dollars to go towards the offer to pay and resolve my tax debt. The have since given the case to multiple case workers and each one said they would... read more
