This is our second time coming to fountain room. On our first visit we asked our server from some recommendations and he said outside of the steaks they're seafood is the best he'd had since moving from California. So we ordered a seafood pasta; I'm talking all the fixing - scallops, shrimp, lobster - reminded me of Barcelona. On our visit last night, we told our same server how excited we were for the seafood pasta; however, he informed us he could NOT serve it to us. We rarely leave negative ratings, but I promise you there are at least 10 restaurants in downtown Indy that have better food and ambiance at this price point. Kitchen slow on a Sunday night. 2 prime rib dinners ordered medium…..one came medium well and the other medium rare. Wedge salad worse than at home. All capped off with a 25 minute wait for Apple cobbler that was actually fried apples without the bread. Look for better

The music is so loud you can’t even hear the people around you. The steaks are so salty you may need to call a cardiologist right after the meal. While the space is gorgeous, the food was awful. Would rather go to st. Elmos. Not worth it.

Interesting upscale place, in a hip location, with overpriced drinks and underwhelming food. Husband’s Steak was prepared right, so that was good, and the only dish worth the price. Pasta was meh. Appetizers just okay. Not great. Service was prompt and friendly and the people working there are the saving grace of this place. I would consider going back but it’s not on top of my list for downtown. Steak tartare was a grey color and the egg yolk was crusty as if it had been sitting out for a while. Had no flavour. Prime Rib no flavour and over cooked. Way over priced for the quality of food.

A really nice setting diminished by the mediocre, at best (poor), food. We've visited the Fountain Room for dinner and lunch over the last 3 weeks and both times the food was generally terrible (we won't be back). Again, great location and the interior setting is very pleasant but the food was borderline inedible. We would recommend avoiding the Fountain Room.

My wife and I went out for our anniv and thought we would try this out. The food was ok- my wife's steak was not pink and burnt. For the price point, we could have went other places and still spent less. The food was just ok nothing exciting or made me say I want to go back. We were under a speaker and noise level could be less when having a conversation. The ambience is nice with watching the people. I thought we would have a nice note about your anniv but nothing at all. I will take my money somewhere else.
