I would not recommend coming here for Devour. The food was extremely bland. We ordered lemon chicken and spicy shrimp. The chicken was dry, needed salt, and had very little lemon flavor. The shrimp had absolutely no spice whatsoever.

We were very excited to come to the Fountain Room for the first time last night. It was underwhelming to say the least. The food was barely edible. The Caesar salad was portioned for a child, the pork shank was rubbery, the polenta tasted like wax, the risotto was the consistency of oatmeal, and the brownie was essentially store bought. I appreciate a new restaurant trying to test out dishes during Devour, but these items were all a no for us. What a shame.

Three hints for new Fountain Room Diners: (1) Request not to be seated on the second floor (unless you like to eat in a drab meeting room). (2) Tell your server to take off the shady 4% surcharge that gets added to your bill without disclosure. Outrageous! (3) Skip the Devour Indy menu and order off the regular menu. Based on the summation of items available on both menus, you will save at least $10.

Main fish special entrees both over cooked then changed to chicken and sea bass. Both again either undercooked or overcooked. Wanted to like this restaurant but food was not great even though the prices are high end. Unfortunately will not be going back

Waited 25 minutes past reservation time. Someone (I presume maybe the manager) did give us a coupon for a free appetizer due to the hassle, (but then our waitress added it to our bill anyways) Appetizer was good. The drink It’s 5’oclock everywhere, was so sour, it was hardly drinkable. The prime rib french dip with fries was average, nothing special about the fries. It’s my third time dining in - I’m not sure why, but each time I’ve gone I’m not impressed with the food, I tried meatloaf twice & fried chicken, every time the food was cold, the taste was okay, the ceviche was disappointing, the components were there but it wasn’t served with your typical chips etc. I wanted to return it, but we knew the server so we didn’t. Overall dissatisfied because of all the other great reviews.

I made my reservation via OpenTable and arrived on time. The two people at the host stand were completely unsmiling and indicated that they did have my table ready. It was a very cold reception, and then they walked me back to the last high top table in the bar next to the restrooms, and the smells from the nearby restrooms clearly were wafting from that area. Absolutely nothing spectacular about the tastes of these dishes. Both of our meals were actually quite cold. Price reflected the ingredients of certain parts of the dish well, but not necessarily the quality or creativeness or execution. Service was great except for the hostess who was not very warm or welcoming.

Attention 25 and under crowd: Do not go to this restaurant. We had very poor service. We are 24 years old and went on NYE to celebrate the up and coming year. We had heard nothing but positive reviews about this place from colleagues and we both were very excited to go. To our disappointment we were treated like we didn’t belong at the restaurant.
