Disappointed in food quality. Ordered prime rib hash. Hardly any prime rib in it. Daughter ordered cinnamon bun in a skillet or skillet cinnamon bun, forgive me, I don't recall exact name. It was dried up. Neither of us finished meal. So disappointed given so many glowing reviews.
Food was great but the service was horrible. Our waiter disappeared several times and forgot multiple things we had asked for (cream for coffee, spoon for soup). We came with a baby and would have appreciated more consideration for our time- particularly because the restaurant was largely empty when we were there

I've visited the fountain room 4 times since it opened and everything is always just sub pair. The servers are always great and the food is always "okay" Every time I visit the drinks take FOREVER to get to the table.

Out of 3 things we ordered. We were only informed about 15 minutes after ordering each item. Some mysterious substance in a drink. Waiter wanted to take our carafe of water to give to another table. When we said ok but that seems gross he said "did you put your mouth on it?". Yikes. Almost all the food came out lukewarm. Needs lots of improvement.

Coffee refills at brunch were very slow and I had to wait a long time even after asking for refills. I was originally given a dirty spoon for my coffee with cheese stuck to it. My eggs had no salt or pepper, and the server didn’t come back to check on us until our food was more than half gone. Salt and pepper should be kept on tables if servers aren’t going to check on the food. We’ve been before and were very happy with the service, but it fell very short this time. Our server was great, the food was not. The French onion soup has zero beef flavor in the broth. It was like they ran out of beef broth and used vegetable instead. The bread they used on top was not toasted, just gloopy regular bread. The prime rib was good, but same issue with the au jus, just no beef flavor. Our party of 4 arrived for our reservation at 6 and sat by the windows. Our server spent way too much time going over the beer/cocktail and dinner menus. Service was bad and the prime rib was ordered medium and arrived rare. The server even said it was rare. So instead of replacing the meat, they recooked it to medium- not good. We waited way too long for everything. Our first and last time

Very disappointed in our experience at the Fountain Room. Came in to celebrate her birthday, and nothing was mentioned about it, and they were out of the one item the birthday person did request. Server never brought teabags for hot tea and condiments were not offered, nor were spoons for dessert until a food runner brought them. We had a great waiter, great service, fantastic atmosphere but other than our appetizer and salad the food was well below expectations. Two of the 4 main courses were at best lukewarm when served & the meatloaf that was highly recommended by our waiter which 2 of the diners ordered even after new servings were brought out tasted as though it had been sitting around for a week.
